Philips 45B1U6900CH launches as 44.5-inch monitor with 5-MP webcam

A 113-centimeter screen diagonal, an integrated 5-MP webcam and a resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels characterize the new Philips 45B1U6900CH monitor, which manufacturer MMD has now officially unveiled.

According to the manufacturer, the Philips 45B1U6900CH is aimed primarily at professional users and comes in 32:9 SuperWide format. On 44.5 inches or 113 cm, it realizes a resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels. Furthermore, the model’s Curved VA panel convinces with wide viewing angles of 178/178° and is supposed to offer razor-sharp, high-contrast images.

According to official product website, the monitor achieves a refresh rate of 75 hertz and gets up to 45 cd/m² brightness. The response time is 4 ms for the gray-to-grey change. The sRGB color space is covered by 123 percent and the color accuracy is Delta E < 2.

It also has a webcam that resolves with 5 megapixels and is fit for the next video conferences in combination with the noise-canceling microphones. Logging in via Windows Hello is also possible without any problems.

USB-C docking with RJ45 is also offered. Thanks to this docking system, professionals can both connect to the network with an RJ45 connection and set up power to their connected devices, watch high-definition video, and/or connect an external device for high-speed data transfer.

The Philips 45B1U6900CH connects either 2x via HDMI 2.0, 1x via DisplayPort 1.4 or 2x via USB Type-C with upstream, DisplayPort legacy mode and PowerDelivery up to 100 watts. USB 3.2 Gen 2, four USB-A downstream and one USB-A downstream including PowerDelivery with 15 watts are available at the USB hub. A 3.5 mm combo port is also available, as is Ethernet LAN.

Price and Availability

The Philips 45B1U6900CH monitor is now available in stores at an MSRP of €1,139.00 plus VAT. Computeruniverse is the first retailer to list the display at a price of 1,089.00 euros – including VAT.
