Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 leak reveals specs, details and design

Even before the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is presented to the public together with the Z Flip4 on August 10, many details about the specifications and design of the new foldable smartphone have leaked out in the meantime. This time, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 comes from the shipping giant Amazon.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 leak: Amazon provides many details

The successor to last year’s Z Fold3 won’t be officially unveiled until next Wednesday, but shipping giant Amazon was a bit too quick and provides plenty of new details in an extensive Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 leak.

In the Netherlands, they launched the product website of the foldable smartphone, revealing the final design and some technical details. The price as a placeholder has been removed in the meantime, but it provides additional information about the planned trade-in campaign.

Specifically, Amazon NL lists the smartphone in the beige color variant with 512 GB of system storage and 12 GB of RAM. In terms of display, the Z Fold4 accordingly relies on a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-Flex display in a 21.6:18 format with an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The outer display in 23.1:9 format takes up a size of 6.2 inches when folded. Overall, the foldable thus has a maximum width of 130.1 mm (unfolded), or 67.1 mm when folded. It is 155.1 mm high and a maximum of 15.8 mm thick.

That would be minimally thinner, but slightly wider than its predecessor, which came in at dimensions of 158.2 x 128.1 x 6.4 mm, or 158.2 x 67.1 x 16.0 mm when folded.

Marketing images provide further details

Furthermore, at least the published marketing images of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 leak provide further details. Accordingly, there will be a new case that can accommodate the S Pen on the back.

While the other images focus on the foldable smartphone’s multitasking and productivity capabilities, another image provides additional details about the pre-order promotion and accompanying exchange bonus.

According to this, the pre-order of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 will start on August 10 – presumably during or directly after the unveiling. Those who decide to buy by August 25 will apparently receive an additional exchange bonus of 200 euros directly in the Samsung store when trading in their old smartphone, in addition to the device value.

This is the same value that the manufacturer offered last year when buying the previous model. Here were additionally up to 800 euros credit for the old device possible. Also included, as last year, is one year of Samsung Care+. This is an insurance that covers repairs for accidental damage to the display or the back as well as water damage.
