OnePlus 11 5G: Launch date of the smartphone is set

OnePlus is preparing the successor of the 10, 10 Pro and 10T. The OnePlus 11 5G now already has a launch date. At the same time, the company wants to introduce the in-ear headphones OnePlus Buds Pro 2.

OnePlus 11 5G: Launch date scheduled for February 7

A bit earlier than last year, OnePlus will unveil its new smartphone. As the official Indian Twitter account of the manufacturer has now revealed, they will present the OnePlus 11 5G to the public on February 07, 2023.

At the same time, they will also unveil the new OnePlus Buds Pro 2 premium headphones at the “Cloud 11 – A OnePlus Launch Event” in New Delhi. A corresponding teaser website is also already online and at least roughly reveals what you can expect from the new devices.

Accordingly, the OnePlus 11 5G once again relies on a camera setup that was developed together with manufacturer Hasselblad. However, it is still completely unclear how far the cooperation will go with the third interaction.

However, it is certain that the 11 model will once again rely on the popular Alert Slider, which has always characterized the OnePlus smartphones and was simply reduced in the OnePlus 10T, much to the displeasure of many .

It is also interesting that OnePlus speaks of a flagship for the first time on the teaser website and no longer declares its own smartphone as a flagship killer. However, further details about the smartphone are currently not available.

Is OnePlus repositioning itself?

Moreover, we are only talking about a smartphone without the well-known Pro name. Meanwhile, the predecessor model OnePlus 10 Pro, as well as all other smartphones of the manufacturer, have been erased from the face of the official homepage. Currently, only audio and accessory products can be found there.

Does the company want to completely reposition itself in 2023? A mechanical keyboard, which was developed together with Keychron, is also coming next year.

It is expected that the OnePlus 11 5G should rely on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is expected to do duty in most top smartphone models in 2023.

However, nothing is known about the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 yet. The teaser image at least suggests that not too much has changed in terms of design compared to the first edition unveiled in July 2021. After all, they are supposed to herald a “new era of sound”.

However, the manufacturer still has an additional surprise up its sleeve for the launch event and gives the hint: “Boxes come in all shapes and sizes.” We will find out what that is supposed to mean on February 07, 2023.
