SPC Gear GK650K Omnis: New full-size keyboard with palm rest

Under its gaming label SPC Gear, the European manufacturer SilentiumPC announces the GK650K Omnis mechanical keyboard. The high-quality gaming keyboard features a solid aluminum cover, volume wheel and integrated palm rest. A customizable RGB backlight with effects may not be missing either, of course.

GK650K Omnis: Three mechanical switches to choose from

The SPC Gear GK650K Omnis is supposed to be equally up to gaming demands and daily office work. There are three mechanical switches to choose from: Kailh Blue, Kailh Brown and Kailh Red. The visual highlight is the customizable RGB lighting, which allows almost unlimited color combinations and 18 different effects.

Choices include constant illumination, slow color change, wave, or change based on pressing a specific button. Further adjustments can be made using the SPC Gear software, which also allows key combinations to be saved as macros.

Design and Features

Anti-ghosting and an N-key rollover function are part of the keyboard’s features, which connects via a detachable 1.8m USB Type-C cable. According to the spec sheet, the keyboard weighs 1,154 grams and measures around 45 cm in width as well as 21 cm in depth and 4.3 cm in height.

Price and Availability

The rugged SPC Gear GK650K Omnis keyboard is available now at an MSRP of 79.99 euros on the manufacturer’s homepage, as well as at select retailers. The warranty is two years.
