The digital business magazine t3n has been acquired by Heise Medien GmbH & Co. KG. t3n thus becomes part of the Heise Group, which already includes successful and well-known brands such as heise online and c’t.
Together into the future
t3n, the online magazine for digital business based in Hanover, was founded in 2005. For around 15 years, one of the most successful German media startups was independent and, according to its own statement, is taking the next step in its development “at the end of the best year in the company’s history in economic terms.” At the same time, the magazine will continue to operate independently and retain its headquarters in the Hanover location.
Ansgar Heise, managing partner of the Heise Group, emphasizes: “With the takeover, both t3n and Heise Medien will remain independent companies with their own brand presences; nothing will change at the location, the staff and the management of t3n.”
As part of the Heise Group, the online magazine will be able to play its role as a leading medium of the digital economy even better, reveals t3n editor-in-chief Holger Schellkopf. “t3n continues to have tremendous development potential” Schellkopf is convinced.
The website of t3n currently records around 9.3 million visits per month, which are reached by 4.1 million unique users. The Heise Group was founded under the name Verlag Heinz Heise on June 19, 1949.
