The New Gaming Smartphone Asus ROG Phone II Is About to Get Started

Already with the first ROG Phone, the computer hardware company Asus from Taiwan has opened up a market segment that has never been served by a well-known manufacturer before. Republic of Gamers is the name of the brand that sells a smartphone model that has been specially designed to meet the needs of gamers and is intended to offer a trouble-free gaming experience, especially through its technical specifications. Now it was announced that there will be a new edition of this smartphone, which impresses with the new processor and should bring even more performance to the device. Much of the data is unknown, but in the official Asus press release announcing the release of the ROG Phone 2, Asus indirectly revealed that, as with the first model, the focus is on performance enhancement rather than optical refinement or other extras.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus

The first smartphone to be installed in the ROG Phone 2 is the Snapdragon 855 Plus from Qualcomm, which is intended to provide even more power by increasing the clock frequency than was the case with the Snapdragon 855. A slight 15% increase can be expected here, even if this has not yet been confirmed one hundred percent. According to speculations, as with the first ROG Phone, an active cooling system will be installed, which can be switched on via an adapter to support the smartphone’s cooling system, which has already been greatly expanded, and thus to prevent overheating during very demanding gaming sessions.

Delay-free play

In order to minimize the delay of the picture while playing on the smartphone, the ROG Phone 2, as an increase compared to its predecessor, should be equipped with a 120 Hz display, which makes the picture appear smoother and smoother and thus promotes the gaming fun. In order to ensure that there is always enough battery power available, it should now be possible to charge with 30 watts to accelerate the charging process and shorten the waiting time.

No statement has yet been made on the release date and other features of the smartphone, but it is highly likely that it will be presented on July 23 of this year, with further information certain to follow.
