Turtle Beach stamps out ROCCAT and introduces new products

Manufacturer ROCCAT has given us some excellent products over the years. These include the Vulcan II Mini (our review), an outstanding gaming keyboard, and the excellent Kone XP gaming mouse (our review). In future, the products will be manufactured by Turtle Beach, which has now completely discontinued the brand following the takeover in 2019.

Turtle Beach stamps out ROCCAT

That’s it for the German peripherals manufacturer ROCCAT. As Turtle Beach announced on its own website, the brand is finally being discontinued following the takeover in 2019. “We felt that time and resources were best spent focusing on a single brand and developing a range of products that are most important to gamers, ” reads Turtle Beach’s FAQ.

However, existing ROCCAT products will continue to function, just like the Swarm software. With Swarm II, however, the software suite will receive an updated version in spring 2024.

Iconic product lines such as Vulcan, Kone, Burst and Sense will continue to operate under the Turtle Beach brand, according to the statement. And that’s exactly what’s happening now: in addition to three new gaming headsets from Turtle Beach, a new gaming keyboard and mouse have been unveiled and will be launched in May 2024.

Turtle Beach Vulcan II TKL Pro and Turtle Beach Burst II Air unveiled

The magnetic-mechanical RGB PC gaming keyboard Vulcan II TKL Pro from Turtle Beach now comes in the compact TKL design. The successor to the excellent Vulcan TKL Pro (our test) relies on magnetic Hall-effect switches, among other things, which ensure a reliable, fine keystroke with a lifespan of 150 million clicks.

The keys also have an adjustable trigger point between 0.1 mm and 4 mm and a rapid trigger setting. The buttons also feature a controller emulator that is designed to perfectly mimic gamepad inputs.

Intelligent AIMO RGB lighting per button, five on-board profiles, adjustable trigger points and multiple inputs per button can be customized with Turtle Beach’s new Swarm II desktop software.

The Turtle Beach Vulcan II TKL Pro will be released on May 19, 2024 in black and white and can be pre-ordered now for 159.99 euros.

Also new is the ultra-lightweight Turtle Beach Burst II Air gaming mouse, which weighs just 47 grams and features a symmetrical design. It comes with the precise Owl Eye optical sensor with 26,000 DPI and 650 IPS tracking speed.

The fast TITAN Optical Switches with adjustable debounce offer a long service life of 100 million clicks, while the click tension and Lightspeed triggering ensure precision and speed.

It has a battery life of 40 hours via 2.4 GHz dongle or 120 hours via Bluetooth. The included grip tape and additional PTFE skates provide additional precision. The Turtle Beach Burst II Air will also be released on May 19 in the colors black and white at an RRP of 109.99 euros.

Three new gaming headsets from Turtle Beach

Turtle Beach itself has also unveiled new products, all of which will also be released on May 19.

The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 comes with a 2.4 GHz wireless connection with low latency and Bluetooth connectivity and uses 50 mm Nanoclear drivers. It offers 80 hours of battery life and AI-powered noise cancellation for the microphone.

It is available as a special Xbox, PlayStation and PC version. Price: 109.99 euros.

Below this is the Stealth 500, which is also connected wirelessly via 2.4 GHz radio via Bluetooth and has a battery life of 40 hours. It also features an adjustable, movable headband and comes at an RRP of 89.99 euros for Xbox, PlayStation and PC versions.

Turtle Beach Atlas Air with wireless hi-fi sound and open design

The Turtle Beach Atlas Air is also particularly exciting, with wireless high-fidelity 24-bit audio, 40 mm precision drivers and open-back ear cups for clear, natural audio quality.

Weighing just 301 grams, it features a low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless connection and Bluetooth for connecting to Windows PCs, PS5 & PS4, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, and offers an analog 3.5 mm jack connection.
