Xiaomi presents the new Redmi Note 11

Xiaomi also presented new products almost parallel to Huawei. The new Redmi Note 11 series is probably the most exciting one. The Chinese electronics company is planning an impressive offensive in the mid-range smartphone segment. The Chinese do not only present a large display, a long-lasting battery and a powerful camera as selling points. Unlike competitor Huawei, the company also offers Google services and 5G.

Even four new models

The future Xiaomi Redmi 11 series consists of no less than four different devices. Namely, these are the devices Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11S, Redmi Note 11 Pro as well as Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. The company covers everything from the lower to the upper mid-range in exactly this order. Accordingly, the new Redmi 11 series starts with the simple Note 11. It comes with a 6.43-inch display with LCD technology. A resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels is supposed to ensure sharp screen contents. The entry-level model also offers a refresh rate of 90 Hz so that moving images are displayed as smoothly as possible. The camera technology also sounds more than convincing for a mid-range device.

Thus, you will find a quad camera here, which consists of a main camera (50 megapixels), a super wide-angle lens, a macro lens and a depth sensor. The Snapdragon 680, an averagely good processor, is under the hood of the smartphone. The smartphone CPU from Qualcomm has a computing power of up to 2.4 GHz. You are spoiled for choice in terms of flash memory and working memory. The cheapest model comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space. The top model offers 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. However, the Redmi Note 11 clearly leaves the terrain of mid-range smartphones when it comes to the battery. Thanks to 5,000 mAh, the device should be very enduring. A fast charging function with a power of up to 33 watts is also supposed to be on board.

Redmi Note 11S

At first glance, there are hardly any differences between the conventional Note 11 and the Note 11S. However, a closer look at the spec sheet reveals more. First of all, the S version has a stronger main camera. It offers a resolution of 108 megapixels, which is more than twice as high.

The smartphone processor is also stronger with the Helio G96 from Mediatek. It runs with a maximum computing power of 2.05 GHz. The memory is also larger. The Redmi Note 11S offers at least 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash storage. The top version offers 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash storage. The battery does not differ from the normal Note 11.

Redmi Note 11 Pro

The most obvious difference between the Redmi Note 11(S) and the Pro model is the screen size. Finally, the Note 11 Pro offers a 6.67-inch display. This is also not based on LCD technology, but relies on a high-contrast and colorful OLED panel. It also offers a higher refresh rate of 120 Hz. The camera and CPU, on the other hand, do not differ from the Redmi Note 11S.

Unfortunately, this also applies to the battery capacity, which should certainly ensure a shorter battery life for the Pro model. However, the Redmi Note 11 Pro can be charged with a proud 67 watts of power. Thus, the battery should at least be recharged quickly. Working memory and flash storage variants coincide with those of the Redmi Note 11S.

Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G

When it comes to the flagship of the new Redmi Note 11 series, name probably says it all. After all, this one also offers support for the modern mobile standard with 5G support. To make this possible, Xiaomi does not use the Mediatek CPU from the Redmi Note 11S or Pro here.

Instead, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695, a CPU with a 5G chip, is used. Apart from 5G and a different CPU, however, the hardware is the same as that of the conventional Redmi Note 11 Pro. This also applies to the equipment options.

Price and availability

It all sounds very promising what Xiaomi is announcing here. Those who are interested should not have to wait too long for the new models of the Redmi Note 11 series. The Note 11 and Note 11S are supposed to be launched in January. The Pro models are supposed to follow as early as February. It is still uncertain what prices we can expect.
