More and more people are working from home. This applies not only to the self-employed, but also to employees working from home. However, for many, working from home is a big change. The reason for this is not only the lack of personal contact with colleagues, but also poor equipment. Not infrequently, not having professional office equipment also has negative physical consequences. For example, “home workers” often complain of back, neck and headaches. In most cases, this can be traced back to an inadequate desk chair. In today’s Flexispot BS8 Pro test, we present a chair that scores points for its ergonomics, adjustment options and seating comfort. And all at a really fair price. Does the plan work?

Flexispot BS8 Pro test: Scope of delivery and assembly
The Flexispot BS8 Pro reached me in a cuboid package, which is comparatively compact given its weight of 22 kg and dimensions of 64.0 cm × 44.0 cm × 65.0 cm. When I opened it, I noticed the great packaging protection.
Flexispot has wrapped each component in bubble wrap to effectively prevent possible damage during transportation. Once I had lifted all the components out of the packaging and unpacked them, it was time to set them up.
The manufacturer provides clear assembly instructions. As a result, I was able to assemble the chair in just under 15 minutes without the help of a second person. I find it particularly praiseworthy that the scope of delivery included more than just the necessary screws.
Flexispot also includes a practical screwdriver that can be used both as a Phillips screwdriver and as an Allen screwdriver thanks to its interchangeable insert.
If you have any problems with the assembly despite the very simple assembly instructions, the manufacturer will be happy to help you. You can find step-by-step instructions in video format on the YouTube channel.
Flexispot BS8 Pro test: design and workmanship
The Flexispot BS8 Pro is available in either black or gray. We had the elegant gray version on hand. No matter which color you choose. You are presented with a wonderfully unobtrusive chair that looks pleasantly modern with its curved lines. I particularly like the look of the backrest.
This is made up of two sections in total, which are covered with a stylish mesh fabric. While the lower section is designed to support your lower spine, the upper part of the backrest takes care of your upper back and head. However, you don’t get a separate headrest.
The combination of plastic skellet and mesh makes the backrest pleasingly elegant. The mesh also creates a slight transparency effect, which ensures that the chair blends in very well with its surroundings. The seat is pleasingly large and of course properly upholstered. The armrests are also made of high-quality plastic.
The same applies to the seat cross and castors. The fact that plastic is used here for the most part may be an annoyance to some. Personally, this didn’t bother me at all. After all, the material makes a very good impression and the quality of workmanship is also of a high standard.
Flexispot BS8 Pro test: seating comfort
After the successful assembly, I was finally able to take a seat in the BS8 Pro. And my first impression was extremely positive! The large seat cushion is neither too hard nor too soft. It offers the perfect compromise and provides optimum support for your ischial tuberosities. I also have nothing but praise for the backrest. Although no padding is used here, it still offers soft support for your back. You can lean back here for a short break without having to sacrifice comfort.
The lumbar support ensures that your back stays straight and prevents aches and pains after a long day at work. Although I tested the desk chair in winter, I can imagine the benefits of the mesh cover in summer. The perforated design should certainly provide good ventilation for the back and effectively prevent perspiration. I also have to positively emphasize the rolling movement over the floor.
Anyone who likes to roll their desk chair back and forth between printer and computer will be pleased with the quiet rolling noises and smooth movement. However, the chair does have one small drawback. Those who attach great importance to a headrest might be a little disappointed with the BS8 Pro. After all, it is more of a headrest than a headrest. Personally, this didn’t bother me. However, I can imagine that gamers in particular might find it annoying.
Flexispot BS8 Pro test: adjustment options
The BS8 Pro offers a range of adjustment options to suit your preferences in terms of seating comfort. For example, the office chair is height-adjustable. This applies to both the seat height and the height of the backrest. While you can adjust the seat height continuously, there are five pre-set levels for the backrest. You can also adjust the angle of the backrest. Anything between 90° and 135° is possible here.
So there’s nothing to stop you taking a little power nap during your lunch break. The armrests can also be fully adjusted. This means that you can not only adjust their height. You can also adjust them forwards and backwards and rotate them through a total of 360°. Last but not least, the seat cushion can be adjusted in its angle of inclination and tilted forward by up to 3°.
Conclusion
Despite its comparatively low price, the Flexispot BS8 Pro offers really great features. Firstly, there is the chic design, which can easily be seen in the work corner of the living room. Furthermore, the chair offers many adjustment options that make an individual and ergonomic sitting experience possible. Only the lack of a headrest might annoy some people. Personally, however, the storage option built into the backrest was perfectly adequate for me. If you are looking for a desk chair at a great price-performance ratio, this model is definitely worth a look.
