This is not least due to the fact that effective cleaning also requires several household appliances. Practical combination appliances that can vacuum and mop save space and money. In the JIMMY PW11 Pro Max test, I was able to take a look at a combination vacuum cleaner and mop that comes with a comprehensive range of features.

Despite its extensive contents, the HW11 Pro Max comes in a very compact package. To make transportation as easy as possible, JIMMY has placed a practical carrying handle directly on the box. The pictures on the box also make it clear what the PW11 Max is suitable for. It is a real jack-of-all-trades when it comes to floor cleaning. This is made possible by its versatile design, which allows it to be used as a vacuum cleaner, handheld vacuum cleaner and mop.

JIMMY PW11 Pro Max Review: Design and workmanship

The design of the JIMMY PW11 Pro Max is modern and functional, the workmanship of the plastics and other materials is good, but not outstanding. Nevertheless, the vacuum cleaner feels stable and durable, which leaves a good first impression. The heart of the JIMMY PW11 Pro Max vacuum cleaner is its motor block.

This is made of dark gray and silver plastic. On the outside, the practical combi device looks very similar to the HW10, which I have also had the pleasure of testing. However, a closer look reveals a few differences. It starts with the battery. The new model not only has a larger battery.

The manufacturer has also slightly changed the design of the nozzle. I also noticed a change to the button that is used to unlock the battery. This is now in a different place. Nevertheless, the similarities outweigh the differences, which can also be seen in the general design. In the center of the motor is an axis on which the air intake, cyclone filter and motor are located.

The sucked-in air leaves the housing through the ventilation slots on the left and right. This is a smart solution, as the user is not blown on and dirt lying on the floor is not stirred up. There is a pin connector on the underside, which you use to connect the extension pipe.

This ensures that the attachments, mop suction unit and the extension tube including the main brush are supplied with power. The replaceable 4,600 mAh battery takes care of the power supply.

JIMMY PW11 Pro Max Review: Handle, display and battery

The D-shaped handle on the top of the motor unit deserves a positive mention. It sits comfortably in the hand and is equipped with two control buttons that are easy to reach during operation. The first starts and stops the appliance. The second button is used to change the mode. A third button is used for the vacuum mop function and sprays the floor with water.

A fourth button at the front of the appliance is used to open the flap of the dust container to dispose of the collected contents in the waste garbage can. There is also a practical LED display on the motor unit. This provides information on important parameters such as battery status. A blue or red bar (depending on how dirty it is) indicates the degree of dirt on the floor.

Status messages are also shown here in the form of illuminated images. The display may be easy to see, but it cannot compete with top displays such as that of a Tineco Floor One S7 Pro (Review). Instead, it can best be described as “rudimentary”. But it is certainly helpful.

The high build quality and well thought-out design can also be found in the mopping unit. JIMMY divides this into two parts. The dirty water tank, which has a filter for solids, is located at the front. The cleaning roller is located on the underside. As with the Tineco Floor One Stretch S6 (Review), the fresh water tank sits on top of this.

Although this is somewhat unorthodox, it makes for a very slim design. At the front of the roller unit is a nozzle that sprays the floor with moisture. The two cleaning rollers themselves are also moistened. These rotate in opposite directions to remove even stubborn dirt.

You don’t need to install a wall bracket to “park” the JIMMY PW11 Pro Max after use. Instead, the manufacturer includes a practical base station in the scope of delivery. This is not only where the combi device is charged. You can also store the attachments, both cleaning rollers, the enclosed cleaning agent and the rubber brush for maintenance.

Although the station is made of black plastic, it also scores points for its good workmanship. The base also allows the two rollers to clean themselves to remove residual dirt. Silver ions are used to kill bacteria. Once cleaning is complete, an integrated fan is used. This dries the cleaning rollers with warm air.

This is intended to prevent the formation of bacteria and thus also prevent unpleasant odors. However, you should not expect quick drying here. Instead, it takes quite a while for the rollers to dry. Tineco is clearly ahead of the game here with its Flashdry system. With the Tineco Floor One S6 Flashdry PET (Review), this enables drying in just under five minutes.

JIMMY PW11 Pro Max Review: Operation

As already mentioned, the operating buttons are located directly on the motor unit. One button is used to switch on the HW11 Pro Max. You can use the second button to switch modes. When used as a handheld vacuum cleaner, there is a choice of two power levels. While the first level is suitable for hard floors, JIMMY qualifies the second level as the perfect power level for carpets.

A third level is available when the appliance is set up as a fully-fledged vacuum cleaner. Then there is the “Auto” mode, which uses the dust sensor of the main brush and automatically adjusts the power to the degree of soiling.

JIMMY PW11 Pro Max Review: Practical test

In the detailed practical test, I took a closer look at the individual features of the PW11 Pro Max. I used the household helper to clean my floors and also paid attention to the ease of use.

Dry cleaning

The JIMMY PW11 Pro Max is equipped with a powerful 460 W motor that achieves a suction power of 110 AW / 21,000 Pa. This power is sufficient to effectively remove dust and dirt from both hard floors and carpets.

The dry cleaning of the JIMMY PW11 Pro Max is therefore really good. However, this is not only due to the pure performance, but also to the design of the cleaning unit. Dust, hair and other particles are efficiently picked up here. However, I do miss a kind of zero-tangle feature, such as the one offered by the Tineco cordless vacuum cleaners.

Pet owners should keep this in mind. After all, hair gets tangled up here, which should be kept in mind during maintenance. The auto mode automatically adjusts the suction power to the amount of dirt detected, which is particularly useful with changing surfaces and degrees of soiling. In practice, the system responded pleasingly quickly and reliably.

Wet cleaning

The wet cleaning function of the JIMMY PW11 Pro Max is a real highlight. The vacuum cleaner can pick up spilled liquids and effectively remove stains from hard floors. The rollers are assisted by the automatic spraying of water, which is applied evenly to the floor. The option to spray additional water manually provides additional control over cleaning.

Overall, the rollers leave the floor evenly damp and clean thoroughly. However, the appliance reaches its limits when it comes to dried-on stains. Here, pure squeegees with a focus on mopping simply have the edge. Unfortunately, both rollers have a rather thick edge on one side. This should be borne in mind when cleaning skirting boards.

Weight and ergonomics

The vacuum cleaner body itself only weighs around 1.5 kg and is therefore light and easy to handle. In the vacuum mop configuration, the appliance weighs around 4.6 kg. Of course, that’s not exactly light. In practice, however, this hardly bothered me. And the two rollers on the underside made sure of that. Despite this higher weight, the vacuum cleaner can be moved effortlessly across the floor thanks to the drive support of the rollers.

The flexibility must also be emphasized positively. Like a Roborock Flexi Pro (Review) and a Tineco Floor One Stretch S6 (Review), the JIMMY can also be laid flat. This means you can also clean under furniture, which is still quite rare in the vacuum mopping sector. The ergonomically designed handle and easy-to-reach controls contribute to easy handling and are quickly understood even by newcomers to the world of vacuum cleaners.

Battery life and charging time

The JIMMY PW11 Pro Max comes with a six-cell battery with a capacity of 4600 mAh. JIMMY promises up to 80 minutes of runtime. In practice, however, this is only possible when used as a handheld vacuum cleaner and on the weakest setting. The operating time when used as a vacuum cleaner was up to 40 minutes.

Exclusive use in the more powerful “Carpet” mode reduced the running time to a little less than half an hour. It takes around 4-5 hours to fully charge the battery. For larger living areas or more intensive cleaning sessions, it therefore makes sense to purchase an additional battery. It’s a shame that JIMMY doesn’t include this with its top-of-the-range equipment.

Conclusion

Strictly speaking, the JIMMY PW11 Pro Max is a 3-in-1 appliance. It combines a handy handheld vacuum cleaner with a classic cordless vacuum cleaner and a mopping vacuum cleaner. Thanks to the modular approach, it is easy to switch between the different applications. The look and build quality are also right and ensure an attractive appearance and durability.

The replaceable battery also scores points here. The JIMMY also performs well in terms of cleaning performance. It scores particularly well in dry cleaning, both as a handheld vacuum cleaner and as a fully-fledged vacuum cleaner. In my opinion, however, it cannot keep up with the flagships among the pure vacuum cleaners when used as a mopping vacuum cleaner.

It really struggled with dried stains. This is why those interested in the PW11 Pro Max should also take a look at the Dreame Dual H12 (Review). It is in the same price range, looks much more modern thanks to its large display and, in my opinion, delivers better overall performance.
