Besides the ergonomically shaped Model O2 Pro (our review), Glorious has recently launched another lightweight gaming mouse. Specifically, it is the successor to the Model D Wireless from 2021. With its symmetrical shape, this model is exclusively aimed at right-handed users. Our Glorious Model D2 Pro review clarifies whether a purchase is worthwhile and what the rodent has up its sleeve.

Glorious Model D2 Pro review: design and workmanship
- Sleek, black design
- High-quality workmanship
- Convincing scope of delivery
In terms of design, the Glorious Model D2 Pro is strongly reminiscent of the Model O2 Pro – if you want to know more details, it’s best to also read the corresponding review. Thus, the symmetrical gaming mouse also relies on a black plastic housing, which is covered with a grippy texture that ensures a good grip even in heated battles.
On the right side of the 127 mm long and 67 mm wide nager we find the product name. On the top sit the two primary buttons, the clickable scroll wheel with a pleasant grid and a dedicated DPI button.
On the left, however, easily accessible for the thumb, are two more buttons. On the bottom, we find, next to the on/off switch, the optical sensor as well as an LED that informs about the respective DPI setting in four colors.
Four generous PTFE gliding feet round off the underside. The package also includes a set of additional glide feet to further increase the surface area. Rounding out the package is a two-meter, fabric-covered USB-A to USB-C cable and the wireless receiver complete with USB-A and USB-C ports, which includes a separate and individually usable USB-A dongle.
There is nothing to complain about the build quality of the Glorious Model D2 Pro. Despite the low weight of just 60 grams, the gaming mouse feels very high-quality and sturdy – and also manages without any honeycomb optics at all. The manufacturer also consistently does without RGB lighting here.
Sensor and practical test
- Fast and precise sensor
- Excellent gliding properties
- Long-lasting, fast switches
The Glorious Model D2 Pro relies on the same BAMF 2.0 sensor that was used in the Model O2 Pro. It features 26,000 DPI resolution at 650 IPS tracking speed and 50G acceleration.
Accordingly, the gaming performance and accuracy are excellent and absolutely do justice to even the most demanding scenarios. The mouse’s gliding properties are also excellent.
For our test, the model reached us with a polling rate of 1,000 Hertz, but the D2 Pro – like the O2 Pro – is also optionally offered as a variant with up to 8,000 Hz polling rate. Those who seriously play competitively should therefore rather reach for the higher-resolution model.
The two primary keys, which are equipped with brand-new optical Glorious Speed Switches, also perform impeccably. These trigger particularly quickly (at just 0.2 milliseconds) thanks to infrared contacts and are rated at 100 million clicks, making them very durable.
Battery life of the Glorious Model D2 Pro
- 80 hours of battery life
The lower polling rate has an advantage, of course: for example, the Glorious Model D2 Pro scores a whopping 80 hours of battery life – with the 4K/8K variant, you’ll have to settle for just 35 hours, with higher polling.
Whether the longer runtime is more important than the faster response time (0.5 ms at 1000 Hz, 0.25 ms at 4000 Hz) is, of course, up to you. The battery status can be read via an LED on the mouse’s upper side, as well as in the accompanying software.
I also find it pleasant that this version comes with a classic USB receiver. I find the solution with the 4K dongle on the cable rather impractical.
Software connection: Glorious Core
- clear, simple software
- coherent feature set
As with all of the manufacturer’s peripherals, the Glorious Core software is used. It is straightforward and intuitively designed and offers, for example, the possibility to create multiple profiles and quickly switch between them.
Firmware updates are also provided, one of which is directly available for download. In the “Key-Bindings” tab, you can freely assign all six programmable keys and equip them with actions, extensive macros or quick functions.
In the “Performance” tab you can then go deep into the details. On the one hand, the four color-defined DPI settings can be freely adjusted here (in 200 DPI steps). In addition, there is the option here to set the debounce time between mouse click (between 0 ms to 16 ms) or the lift-off distance (between 1 mm and 2 mm).
Glorious Model D2 Pro review: conclusion
The Glorious Model D2 Pro is – apart from the shape – identical to the Model O2 Pro and accordingly just as good. With both gaming mice, you can choose between a cheaper variant with a 1,000 Hz polling rate and a slightly more expensive model with up to 8,000 Hz.
In the end, you are spoiled for choice: ergonomic or symmetrical and with a higher sampling rate or longer battery life. You can’t go wrong with either gaming mouse from Glorious. Thus, the Glorious Model D2 Pro is also absolutely recommendable.

High-quality, durable and powerful gaming mouse for right-handers. The price is absolutely fair considering the performance - for the ergonomic counterpart, the Glorious O2 Pro is just as recommendable.
