Eleglide M2: A real all-rounder for a small penny
A look at the technical data of the Eleglide M2 makes the hearts of e-bike fans beat faster. After all, this e-mountain bike is a real powerhouse with great features.
Here you get features like a hydraulic suspension, 25 km/h maximum speed, range of 125 km, 27.5 inch x 2.4 inch tires from Kenda, hydraulic disc brakes, 24-speed gears from Shimano, 5 different support levels as well as a clear display offered at an exceedingly fair price-performance ratio. Riding comfort meets safety
If you take a closer look at the tires of the Eleglide M2, it becomes clear that this bike feels comfortable on pretty much any surface. One relies here on the well-known manufacturer Kenda, which stands for high-quality products. The two 27.5 inch x 2.4 inch tires let you both in the asphalt urban terrain as well as on the off-road route through forest and over dirt roads best possible and especially smooth progress. So that you come to a quick stop during your fast rides over hill and dale or at red lights, Eleglide relies on high-quality braking equipment.
More specifically, the manufacturer installs hydraulic disc brakes here, which let you always keep control of the e-mountain bike. On top of that, this technology is characterized by high durability. If you build an all-rounder like the Eleglide M2, you can’t do without customization options. So that you are comfortable and safe on the road both for asphalt and far from paved roads, you can adjust the hydraulic suspension at the front according to your wishes. This has a spring travel of 100 mm and can also be conveniently locked.
Brushless motor with 570 watts
The quality of an e-bike stands and falls, of course, with the motor. In the Eleglide M2, a brushless motor with a power of 570 W is used, which supports you up to a speed of 25 km/h. A torque of 55 Nm ensures a lot of driving fun. You’ll leave even many a car behind you when accelerating at the traffic lights. Of course, a powerful motor is of no use if you don’t have the necessary endurance. Eleglide has thought of this, too. The M2 comes with a 540 Wh battery. This should be able to hold out up to 125 km in support mode.
According to the manufacturer, the maximum distance is possible when the payload is 75 kg, there is an outside temperature of 26°C, there is hardly any wind and you are not going faster than 15 km/h. Outside of these optimal conditions, however, 100 km should be easily achievable. Sooner or later, the battery will run out and you’ll have to recharge it. Thanks to the detachable design of the battery, however, this is no problem at all. After all, you don’t have to lug the entire bike back to your apartment. Instead, you simply take the battery off and charge it at the home socket.
The Eleglide M2 also relies on a big name for its gears. The gears are from the industry leader Shimano. With the help of the 24 gears, you can customize your riding experience on the two-wheeler according to your wishes. The motor support also offers customization options. So you get here a total of five different support levels offered.
Operation with display and app
Less is more – Eleglide may have kept to this motto when designing the display. After all, this is significantly smaller and more inconspicuous than is the case with some competitor models. It is more reminiscent of a classic bike computer. However, this does not mean that it is stingy with information. You can not only regulate the current support level via the two left buttons.
On top of that, ride data can be read off. This includes information such as battery status, the current support level, the current speed, error reports and the distance traveled. If that’s not enough, you can easily download the Eleglide app for your iPhone or Android smartphone. This also lets you unlock practical additional features.
Safety on the road is ensured by the extensive lighting. So you get a bright LED front light offered here. On the back is a red reflector, which makes you easily recognizable for the other participants in road traffic. Also worth mentioning is the comfortable saddle, which is installed here. This lets you survive even long bike rides without subsequent pain in the buttocks.
