Fafree’s F20

The F20 represents the base model of the series, which also includes the other two e-bikes. Visually, it initially resembles a classic folding bike: the frame and entrance are extremely low, the handlebars are comparatively high and the vehicle is relatively small overall. However, if you take a closer look, you will discover some details that ordinary folding bikes cannot offer. For example, the F20 is equipped with particularly thick tires, Fat Tires with a size of 20 x 3 inches, and can also score points with a second seat, which at first seems like a luggage rack.

Designed with this in mind, the Fafrees F20 is suitable for a wide variety of terrains. It can be used both on the road and in light terrain without any problems – and is thus unexpectedly flexible for a folding bike. Added to this are the many advantages of a classic bike. Equipped with a 16 Ah battery, it can cover distances of 60 to 80 kilometers, making it ideal for weekend trips into the countryside.

It is powered by a 250 Wh brushless motor that can reach a maximum torque of 40 Nm. The pedaling assistance provided by the motor can be regulated in three stages. The top speed achievable with the rear-wheel drive is 25 km/h, which allows it to be registered as an e-bike without any problems. In addition, there are 7-speed Shimano gears, an oil suspension fork to be found at the front and double disc brakes. With these features, the Fafrees F20 is ideally suited for everyday use.

During the ride you are supported by an LCD display, which informs you about the current speed, the gear engaged or the charge status of the removable battery. This way, you never lose track of relevant data during the ride. When the ride is over, you can easily fold the F20 and load it into the trunk or the train – this is where it scores as a classic folding bike. With a weight of 26 kilograms, it is not too heavy to carry. The payload, meanwhile, is 140 kilograms. The height of the seat and handlebars is adjustable.

Fafrees F20 Light

The F20 Light is a lower-performance and less expensive version of the F20. The Light version is also foldable and visually hardly differs from the stronger reference model. Only the lack of padding on the second seat and the thinner tires are noticeable differences here. Inside the e-bike, however, things look different: There are some noticeable differences here.

For example, although the F20 Light is also equipped with a brushless 250-Wh motor, it only achieves a maximum torque of 35 Nm here. The battery has also been slimmed down and holds 14.5 Ah, which is enough for distances of up to 60 kilometers. Not changed, however, are the LCD display and the 7-speed Shimano shifting.

The aforementioned different tires mean that the Light version of the F20 is less off-road capable than the standard model already featured. With a tire thickness of 20 x 1.95 inches, the F20 Light is made for city and street use. Since it is foldable just like the standard model, it is easy to transport – and at the same time is particularly light, weighing just 24 kilograms. Meanwhile, the payload it can carry is a maximum of 120 kilograms. Here, too, the seat and handlebars can be adjusted to suit body size.

Fafrees F20 Pro

If you want more power, you should go for the F20 Pro, which has a bit more to offer compared to the standard model. Visually, it cannot be distinguished from the latter: It features the same tires, a padded second seat and an identical frame design.

The main differences to the standard model are in the battery and the brakes. The Pro version, for example, is equipped with a more powerful battery with a capacity of 18.5 Ah, allowing a range of 70 to 90 kilometers. The Pro model also features dual-disc brakes. In addition, the F20 Pro has a suspension fork with lockout function. This makes it possible to adjust or turn off the suspension while riding. This is particularly useful when the bike is used on different surfaces.

The F20 Pro weighs 25.5 kilograms and is designed for a payload of up to 140 kilograms. The seat and handlebars can be adjusted in height.
