Honbike Uni4: Stylish entry-level e-bike introduced

Just in time for the start of spring, Honbike would like to present its latest e-bike. According to the manufacturer, the Honbike Uni4 is “the perfect city e-bike for everyday use and weekend trips”. Given the attractive price, the company could actually make it easier for many previously unmotorized cyclists and motorists to enter the field of e-bikes here.

Honbike Uni4 focuses on energy-saving design

The first published images of the Honbike Uni4 suggest that this is an e-bike with a pleasingly restrained design. Thus, the manufacturer wants to offer its bike only in the two color variants black or white. The respective color then adorns the entire frame, which is supposed to be made of aluminum. Furthermore, Honbike emphasizes that the design is not only pleasing to the eye, but also has great advantages in production. It should ensure that the e-bike has as few welding points as possible, which saves valuable material and also consumes less energy during production. The result is an e-bike that should be ideally suited for both men and women.

Protection according to IPX7 and beginner-friendly drive

Even in heavy rain showers, you should not have to worry about the electronics of the Honbike Uni4. After all, according to IPX7, these offer protection against the damaging penetration of water. Furthermore, Honbike emphasizes that they want to have designed the motor with the in-house SmartHON technology as beginner-friendly as possible. Thus this is to offer an automatic adjustment to the driving behavior as well as the current gradient. A total of three different driving modes are available with Eco, City and Sport. In addition, there are other technical highlights such as a belt drive from Gates Carbon and disc brakes front and rear.

Honbike skillfully hides the battery, which is supposed to be able to last up to 100 km, in the frame. Unfortunately, one does not seem to be able to remove this. You will be able to read the current riding mode as well as information a la battery life and speed on the LCD display. Thanks to the matching Honbike app, you can also keep track of data like kilometers traveled and CO² saved. This is reminiscent of the app of the carbon-made Urtopia Carbon One (test). In combination with the manufacturing process, it is clear that the manufacturer wants to create a green bike that will possibly get some people away from the wheel of a car and onto the saddle of an e-bike.

Price and availability

You can order the Honbike Uni4 now on the official website of the manufacturer. Honbike offers a fair MSRP of 1,799.00 euros.
