If you are looking for a cheap smartwatch in the Apple universe, you should visit an Aldi Süd store on January 27. The Apple Watch Series 3 is available at Aldi for the best price – but it is a refurbished model.

January 27 is apparently tech day at Aldi. In addition to new gaming equipment in the form of PCs, notebooks, monitors and peripherals, the discounter is also offering the popular Apple Watch Series 3 smartwatch at a bargain price.

Aldi Nord also offered the Apple Watch Series 3 as a refurbished “Renewd” model in December 2021, and now it’s the southern offshoot’s turn. Albeit at a minimally higher price of 169.00 euros (in December, it was still 155.00 euros).

Which Apple Watch model is Aldi Süd offering?

The offer is the smaller Apple Watch Series 3 with a 38 mm case. Apparently, only the “Space Gray” color scheme is offered. The Series 3 is swim- and water-resistant up to 50 meters and has a battery life of 18 hours – with normal use lasting around two days.

A Retina display and a heart rate sensor are installed, and the voice assistant Siri is also supported. The Apple Watch communicates wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.2. As a refurbished and Apple-certified Renewd model, the smartwatch can show minimal signs of use.

Price and Availability

The Apple Watch Series 3 at Aldi Süd will be available starting January 27. The price is 169.00 euros. That is the current best price for the smartwatch, which was released in 2017 and is otherwise available from 208.00 euros – but then in new condition.
