Asus Gaming Monitors with 0.5 Millisecond Response Time Introduced
Three new monitors from Asus are now available, which, in addition to the adaptive refresh technology Nvidia G-Sync, are intended to impress gamers with their short response time of 0.5 milliseconds and the high refresh rate of up to 165 Hz.
All models have a TN panel with full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels). The monitors also feature ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology and pivot function. HDMI, DVI-D and display port connections are available on all models. In addition, a headphone connection is also built into the monitors.
So far only the 329 Euro expensive and 27 inch large ASUS VG278QR is available. When and at what prices the 24-inch monitors Asus VG258QR and Asus VG248QG will follow is still unknown.
49-inch monitor with 144 HZ and HDR
Asus also introduced the 49-inch gaming monitor ROG STRIX XG49VQ, which is now available for 1,099.
The 49-inch monitor’s format offers the same area and resolution that previously required two single 27-inch Full HD monitors. The resolution of the 32:9 monitor is 3,840 x 1,080 pixels. Due to the high diagonal, Asus installs a panel with a curved radius of 1800R. The refresh rate of the VA panel is 144 Hz. AMD Freesync 2 is also supported. Gamers with a powerful graphics card can therefore look forward to outstanding in-game performance with the ROG STRIX XG49VQ.
Also supported is 10-bit HDR after standard HDR400. The maximum brightness is 450 cd/m², thanks to HDR a local brightness increase of 400 cd/m² is possible.
