Backforce, a renowned gaming chair manufacturer, has unveiled an upgraded version of its V model (test). The new chair, called the V Plus, brings a number of features already familiar from the Backforce One Plus model (test). For a price of 499 euros, the V Plus offers a number of enhancements, including 5D armrests, adjustable lumbar support, seat depth and tilt adjustment, and a high-quality and adjustable synchro mechanism.
Familiar features in a new model
The V Plus’ 5D armrests, which can be folded down and are upholstered in fabric, are already familiar from the One Plus model. So is the horizontally and vertically adjustable lumbar support. The chair’s seat consists of two zones with different degrees of hardness, another feature already familiar from the One Plus. A special feature of the V Plus is the Gamer Pulse LED in the backrest. The chair is also equipped with 65mm casters that are suitable for all types of floors.
Design and materials
The V Plus is available in basic colors of red, green, blue, purple and black, with additional special editions, such as the “Eintracht Spandau” design. The chair’s covers are made of recycled PET fabric and are Oeko-Tex 100 and GRS certified. The manufacturer uses shaped wood for stabilization and the backrest is based on the natural S-shape of the spine.
Manufacture and warranty
Production of the V Plus takes place in Germany. Backforce provides a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty on the chair. The chair has been tested for a body weight of 40 to 130 kilograms and the manufacturer recommends a height of 151 to 192 centimeters for using the chair.
Expectations and future testing
The V Plus’ predecessor, the Backforce V, was praised in testing for its excellent value. The V Plus is expected to do similarly well, as it offers a number of features already familiar from the One Plus for an additional cost of just 100 euros. A test sample from the manufacturer is expected soon to check the performance of the V Plus in practice.
