CORSAIR recently introduced the iCUE LINK Smart Component ecosystem. This system aims to simplify the process of building a PC by connecting a variety of devices through a single cable that carries both power and data.
Simplification through single-cable technology
The iCUE LINK ecosystem, first introduced at Computex 2023, represents a new method of PC building. It eliminates the need for multiple connector types, controls and wiring harnesses common in today’s PCs. Instead, iCUE LINK uses one universal connector for all components. Each device can connect directly to the next, creating a chain of devices that are all connected to the system hub via a single cable, providing both power and data.
The first products in the iCUE LINK ecosystem
The first wave of products to leverage the iCUE LINK ecosystem includes iCUE LINK RGB CPU coolers, iCUE LINK QX RGB fans and the iCUE LINK system hub. The RGB CPU coolers and QX RGB fans are backed by a five-year warranty, while the iCUE LINK system hub and accessory cables come with a two-year warranty.
The iCUE LINK RGB CPU coolers offer excellent cooling performance and stunning visual effects. They are available in various sizes and feature the new QX RGB fans and a copper cooling structure that ensures high cooling performance.
Available in 120mm and 140mm sizes, the QX RGB fans offer powerful cooling, low noise and long life. They feature an impressive 34 RGB LEDs per fan, which are fully customizable in the CORSAIR iCUE software.
The iCUE LINK system hub connects and controls up to 14 iCUE LINK devices simultaneously. Measuring only 2×2 inches and magnetically attaching to virtually any metal surface in your case, the System Hub discreetly manages the entire ecosystem.
Availability and Pricing
The first CORSAIR iCUE LINK series products will be available for purchase in June 2023. The company will offer the products in its own online store, but also in specialized stores. More components are then to follow in the next few months.
