Form Swim 2: new edition of the smart swimming goggles

Why shouldn’t smart glasses be available underwater? That’s probably what Form thought when it launched the Swim in 2019. Apparently, the smart swimming goggles seem to have been a great success. Now the company has at least announced its successor, the Form Swim 2.

Form Swim 2 is a must-have for passionate swimmers

Fitness trackers and smartwatches have become an integral part of the lives of amateur and professional athletes alike. After all, they allow regular monitoring of important parameters such as speed and heart rate. However, there are sports where it is not always possible to look at your wrist. This includes swimming. If you look at your smart watch in the middle of a swim, you often lose your best times.

Form solved this problem when it launched the Form Swim almost five years ago. The successor, the Form Swim 2, has now been officially presented. The manufacturer claims to have made some improvements. The heart rate measurement is based on an optical measurement via the temple. The corresponding result is then projected onto your eye.

The “Swimstraight” feature sounds really practical. Here, the Gadget acts as a kind of directional sensor. If you suddenly change direction, the glasses will let you know. This prevents you from suddenly veering off course. But this is just one new feature that wasn’t available in the previous version.

Form Swim 2 with special workouts

A lot has also changed visually. First and foremost, it is noticeable that the goggles have become significantly smaller. They should also sit much better on the eyes thanks to the revised seals. What we are already familiar with from fitness trackers and smartwatches is now also making its way into the Form Swim 2.

You will now be able to use guided workouts. The swimming goggles use previous training sessions as a basis to put together customized training sessions for you. According to the manufacturer, the smart swimming goggles should have a battery life of just under two hours.
