Top seller at home

According to the manufacturer, the Hong Guang Mini has now been the best-selling electric car in China for 24 months. And, due to the size of the market, it has also been the best-selling electric car in the world for seven months.

It is said to have sold over one million units since its launch in July 2020 and is particularly popular with the younger generation in China. On offer, the new Hong Guang Mini Convertible is priced at 99,900 yuan, the equivalent of around 14,286 euros.

A Tata Tiago.ev from India is even cheaper. It costs the equivalent of just under 10,700 euros. In this country Hyundai is already working on two affordable small electric cars for under 20,000 euros.
