Honor presents the View 40

After the Huawei brand was sold, Honor has now introduced the View 40. Among other things, the device offers a camera with 50 megapixels. However, there is still no info on whether the View 40 can be paired with Google apps again.

Honor – what’s next?

A look at the facts shows that it was certainly not the worst decision to sell Huawei and now let it run under Honor. Thus – according to official information – supplier contracts have already been signed with AMD, Microsoft and Sony, among others. Thus, it should not be difficult to maintain a high smartphone standard.

The latest developments around the brand are all the more interesting. A new device, the Honor View 40, has been unveiled. The 128 GB model costs approximately 460 Euros in China. The 256 GB version is priced at 510 euros.

What is behind the View 40?

In return, there is a 6.72-inch display, curved edges and 2,676 x 1,236 pixels. Furthermore, the device is based on a 128 Hz OLED panel. Among other things, a special focus is said to have been placed on the color accuracy.

The main camera features 50 megapixels and the RYYB color filter arrangement. However, the sensor has become a bit smaller in direct comparison to various Huawei models. It measures 1/56 inch. For comparison, Huawei was at 1/1.28 inch here.

Due to the integrated technology and the given performance, high-quality pictures should be possible even under rather unfavorable lighting conditions. Also on board: two additional cameras for macro and ultra-wide-angle photos, a laser autofocus and an LED flash.

The battery should also leave nothing to be desired. A 4,000 mAh battery has been integrated into the View 40. It is supposed to be characterized by a quick charge and reach 60% within 15 minutes. A full charge is supposed to be completed after about 35 minutes. Charging without a cable (at 50 watts) to about 50% takes about half an hour.
