HP EliteBook 840 G8 Aero with Intel’s Tiger Lake processor

HP also presented its new EliteBook 840 G9 Aero at the CES alongside many innovations. The new 14-inch notebook starts with a weight of 1.15 kg and is optimal for on the go.

Tiger Lake technology from Intel

HP’s new EliteBook G8 Aero has the 11th generation Tiger Lake processor on board. Thereby, the CPU is accompanied by up to 64 GB of DDR4 SO-DIMM. In addition, there is a maximum of 2 TB of SSD storage. The EliteBook has a 16:9 Full HD display and an overall dimension of 323.6 × 214.7 × 17.9 mm (L x W x H). The magnesium case of the notebook looks very classy, but HP has also paid attention to the environment because 90 percent of the materials used are recycled.

Furthermore, the Aero can optionally be ordered with HP’s Sure View Reflect panel or with a touch display. With a built-in 720p HD camera, crystal-clear speakers, a third microphone and AI-based audio solution, the EliteBook is best suited for remote work.

Security ranks high

Thanks to HP’s numerous security features, the EliteBook G8 Aero is one of the handiest and most secure notebooks in the world. Features include HP Privacy Camera, HP Sure Start, HP Sure Run, HP Sure Click, and also the optional HP Sure View Reflect to protect against visual hacking. In terms of ports, the EliteBook has two USB Type C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, two 3.1 Gen 1 USB ports, an HDMI port, an audio port, and nano-slim slot for the optional 4G or 5G modem. The battery has 53 Wh, the runtime has not been specified yet.

Availability and price

The new HP EliteBook G8 Aero will hit the US market in March 2021, and the price is unknown so far. It is still unclear when the EliteBook G8 Aero will be released in Germany.
