InWin 309 Gaming Edition: Midi tower with built-in games presented

After only a short time, manufacturer InWin has refreshed its innovative 309 case. The 309 Gaming Edition of the midi tower features a 144 LED front panel with built-in games. The matching gamepad is also included.

Gaming on the gaming tower

The normal version of the case already won several design awards with its innovative front panel, but the manufacturer from Taiwan goes one step further with the InWin 309 Gaming Edition. There are 144 ARGB LEDs on the front of the tower, which can be used to play several games.

The proprietary control software Glow X allows playing specially developed titles like MAGI JUMP, a Tetris clone called BLOX and a simple racing game called 309 RACING. The titles are played via the included controller directly on the front panel of the gaming tower.

In addition, the panel displays various lighting effects as well as designs and allows animations with up to 40 frames (10 frames more than the original InWin 309). Additional designs are available for free download from the manufacturer’s website.

Fans and connectors

Four pre-installed InWin Saturn ASN120 fans provide the necessary cooling, and their speed and illumination can also be fine-tuned in software. Despite the lush dimensions, the fans are supposed to work quite quietly in normal operation: InWin states a noise level of 25dBA.

Furthermore, the InWin 309 in the gaming edition offers space for up to seven additional fans – up to three 120 mm fans can also be mounted on the bottom for better airflow. Installing an AiO water cooling system is also no problem due to the enormous amount of space available. Even radiators up to 360 mm can be used.

InWin installs the front panel on the side for easy access. A few ports are offered here, including a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one 3.5mm jack input each for headphones and microphone, and LED control buttons.

Price and Availability

The InWin 309 Gaming Edition midi tower has yet to receive a release date. The manufacturer’s MSRP is supposed to be around 300 Euros.
