Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro: Notebook comes with AMD Ryzen 9, OLED and Intel Arc

With the new edition of the professional notebook Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro, the manufacturer equips the device with a significant performance boost. Or rather, the notebooks, because the Slim 7 Pro comes in a total of four versions that rely on an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS or Intel’s Core i7-12700H, as well as optionally the new Intel Arc graphics card.

Lenovo’s 14-inch or 16-inch notebooks get a 2022 refresh, in which the manufacturer packs on all corners. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro is available with either an Intel or AMD CPU. The AMD models start with the AMD Ryzen 5 660HS, and a maximum of a Ryzen 9 6900HS works in the slim case.

If you prefer Intel, you can choose between the Intel Core i5 1240P, Core i7 1260P, Core i5 12500H or Core i7 12700H. The latter has a total of 14 cores with a clock rate of 2.30 GHz.

Different displays to choose from

The 14-inch model can also be configured with four different display options. The choices are:

  • 2.8K (2880 x 1800 pixels) OLED panel, 16:10, 400 nits, 90 Hz refresh rate
  • 2.8K (2880 x 1800 pixels) IPS panel with 120 Hz
  • 2.8K (2880 x 1800 pixels) IPS panel at 90 Hz
  • 2.2K (2240 x 1400 pixels) IPS panel with 60 Hz and 300 nits brightness

All variants have 100 percent sRGB color space coverage in common, while the OLED panel also fully covers the DCI-P3 color space. The manufacturer does not offer as many variants for the 16-inch Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro. Here, only an IPS panel with a 2.5K resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels is offered, which is also touch-enabled, gets 500 nits bright and realizes a refresh rate of 120 Hz (Intel model) or 165 Hz (AMD) in 16:10 format.

Dedicated or internal graphics including Intel Arc

You are also spoiled for choice when it comes to the graphics solution. In the 14-inch Intel model, you can choose between the Nvidia GeForce MX550, RTX 2050 or the internal Intel Iris X solution. AMD, on the other hand, only offers the integrated Radeon graphics unit in the form of the powerful Radeon i680M with RDNA-2.

The 16-inch model of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro, on the other hand, already uses the new Intel Arc graphics card (Arc 370M) in the Intel variant, while the AMD counterpart is offered with the integrated Radeon solution, or a GeForce RTX 3050 and 3050 Ti.

When it comes to RAM, the 14-inch Intel variants offer a choice between 8 GB and 16 GB of RAM clocked at 4,800 MHz, while the 16-incher comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. AMD, on the other hand, gets the 8 GB or 16 GB RAM up to 6,400 MHz (14-inch), while the 16-inch variant comes with 16 or 32 GB LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 6,400 MHz.

Prices and Availability

The new Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro will be released in the variant with a 14-inch display in July (Intel) or August (AMD) and will start at an MSRP of 999.00 euros. The 16-inch counterpart with an Intel CPU will also be launched at the same time and will be available in July 2022 starting at 1,499 Euros. The AMD model, on the other hand, is supposed to follow later in the year. Lenovo does not mention prices here yet.
