Logitech G introduces PRO Racing Wheel and Pedals for sim racing

Logitech G has introduced new equipment for sim racing professionals with the PRO Racing Wheel and matching PRO Racing Pedals, designed to provide the most realistic racing experience possible. They rely on a new and improved Direct Drive engine that works in tandem with TRUEFORCE feedback technology to simulate the feel of a race car.

Racing simulations should become even more realistic with the new Logitech G PRO Racing Wheel complete with pedals. Similar to the Logitech G923 TRUEFORCE about two years ago, the new steering wheel relies on haptic feedback that lets you experience different road surfaces.

The PRO Racing Wheel’s brand-new Direct Drive engine achieves an impressive 11 Newton meters of power with minimal latency. Combined with the TRUEFORCE force feedback system, simulations are now said to feel even more realistic, with more immersive physics and sound.

“Fans of our Racing Wheels and Pedals can look forward to a major upgrade with an eye on factors such as realism, performance, control, and design and durability,” reveals Richard Neville, Head of Simulation and Controllers at Logitech Gaming.

Improved technology meets new design

Logitech G has also revised the design of the new PRO Racing Wheel. The buttons and controls are now arranged so that they can be reached with a flick of the thumb. The integrated paddle shifters are magnetic and rely on non-contact Hall-effect sensors and additional tactile magnets.

This is supposed to provide an even more realistic gaming experience, while the switches are particularly robust and can easily withstand millions of switching operations. Analog paddles can be set up as a dual-clutch system, allowing you to get going faster at the start of the race.

The integrated display also allows you to create a total of five different racing profiles, which can be switched between with just a few clicks. This is especially practical if you use different configurations for different games.

The newly developed clamping system also makes it easier to mount the steering wheel to the table, but alternatively you can use the standard screw holes.

Modular pedals

Logitech G has also revised the matching PRO Racing Pedals. They now feature realistic load cell braking and can be fully customized to suit racing setups and styles.

They offer realistic pressure detection and can be customized to your own preferences. The clutch and throttle pedals can be set harder or softer, while a choice of elastomers is offered for the brake pedal. Both the accelerator and clutch pedals are equipped with non-contact Hall-effect sensors for long life.

Thanks to the modular design, all pedals can be moved horizontally, allowing you to adjust the distance according to your preferences. The pedal modules can also be removed for custom configuration.

The Logitech G PRO Racing Wheel is available in two versions: one that is compatible with PC, PlayStation5 and PlayStation4 consoles and one that supports PC, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. The PRO Racing Pedals connect via USB to a Windows 10/11 PC, as well as to PlayStation and Xbox consoles in combination with the steering wheel.

Prices And Availability

The Logitech G PRO Racing Wheel and PRO Racing Pedals are expected to be available directly from the manufacturer and at retailers worldwide before the end of September 2022. The steering wheel will start at an MSRP of 1,099 euros, while the pedals have a recommended retail price of 389 euros.
