MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight series: Compact ergonomic gaming mice

The Clutch range of gaming mice from MSI has grown. With the new MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight series, you can expect two ergonomic mice that are supposed to be especially suitable for small to medium-sized hands.

MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight series introduced

After the Clutch GM41 (our review) and the recently launched Clutch GM51 at CES 2023, the manufacturer is now launching the MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight series, which includes a wired and a wireless model.

Thereby, the wireless model only weighs 73 grams thanks to its lightweight plastic construction and is supposed to enable fast and effortless movements. It is also said to be suitable for all grip types and especially suited for small to medium-sized hands.

The mouse also features 100% pure PTFE skates with unidirectional surface texture and double-cut edges to capture every movement more precisely and quickly.

Wireless and High Comfort

The MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight Wireless operates on the 2.4 GHz network and does so with a latency of less than 1 ms. The battery lasts up to 110 hours on a full charge. The included charging station makes charging convenient and user-friendly by simply placing the mouse on the station.

Thanks to the quick charge feature, 10 minutes of charging is enough to get the mouse back into use for seven hours. Alternatively, you can just plug in the included USB-C cable and keep playing.

12,000 DPI

Both models in the MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight series rely on a PixArt PAW-3311 sensor that resolves at a maximum of 12,000 DPI and offers a tracking speed of 300 IPS. You can switch between different settings via the DPI switch on the bottom.

Long-lasting OMRON push buttons are installed under the left and right buttons, which are designed for over 60 million clicks. Of course, all parameters can be adjusted via the MSI Center software.

The wired model, on the other hand, weighs in at just 58 grams and relies on anti-slip grips that are supported by MSI’s exclusive FriXionFree cable – which, by the way, is also included with the wireless model. Otherwise, the specifications are identical.

Prices and Availability

Both mice in the MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight series are available in stores now. The Clutch GM31 Lightweight costs around 46 euros, while the wireless variant has an MSRP of 75 euros.
