Phillips focuses on entertainment. Following the recent launch of the Philips 242E1GAJ and Philips 272E1GAJ, the company now announces two more PC gaming monitors, the 242E1GAEZ and 272E1GAEZ. The new additions to the E-Line should be able to convince with their ergonomic design thanks to adjustable feet. But users should also be convinced by the excellent display quality.
Philips goes Gaming
Both upcoming monitors of the E-Line focus strongly on the topic of gaming. Thus the company wants to make gaming uncompromisingly fun possible. Not least AMD FreeSync Premium is to provide for this. This technology ensures that the monitor always selects the best refresh rate. In the final result an almost latency-free play pleasure is to be ensured. In addition, the 144 Hz displays should ensure a smooth picture reproduction. The positive data sheet is rounded off by a reaction time of 1 ms (MPRT).
Realistic image reproduction
With its two new models, the manufacturer focuses on one thing above all else: natural and detailed image reproduction. Philips would like to achieve this goal with a VA panel with Full HD (1,080p) resolution. With the help of Ultra-Wide-Color technology, both monitors should be able to reproduce a pleasingly wide color spectrum. According to the manufacturer, the 242E1GAEZ and 272E1GAEZ achieve natural greens, bright reds and deep blues. SmartContrast is supposed to take care of the fine tuning. Thanks to this feature, subtle dark colors can be reproduced accurately. Because gamers have their own specific requirements for a good picture, Philips is relying on special SmartImage game modes here. These should be able to offer the best picture for every game. But you are not bound to the final modes. You should be able to make adjustments as you please.
Also suitable for the home office
In times of Corona, many have come to know their home as a second place of work. All the more understandable is the consideration to get a monitor for hobby and work equally. With its 242E1GAEZ and 272E1GAEZ, Philips wants to get both under one roof. The monitors should not only be suitable for gaming. In addition, the U.S. company is also promoting the monitors for graphics applications, office work and other aspects of everyday working life.
Anyone who has to spend an entire working day in front of a monitor will be pleased with the features relating to ergonomics. Both monitors have an adjustable foot. Here you can adjust not only the height but also the angle of inclination. Furthermore, features such as LowBlue mode and flicker-free technology are easy on the eyes.
Prices and availability
At the end of November it should be ready. Then the two monitors are to come for 189.00 euro (Philips 242E1GAEZ) and 239.00 euro (Philips 272E1GAEZ) on the German market. We are curious whether the manufacturer will be able to keep its promises to the gaming community.
