RedMagic, the subsidiary of Nubia, is mainly known for its gaming smartphones like the RedMagic 8 Pro. With the RedMagic 4K gaming monitor, however, we can soon expect a… gaming monitor with 4K resolution and strong specs at an absolute fighting price.
The RedMagic 4K Gaming Monitor in Detail
With the RedMagic 4K gaming monitor, we can expect a display in just a few days that comes with pretty impressive specs at a comparatively low price. On a screen diagonal of 27 inches, the mini LED display realizes a 4K UHD resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and that at a refresh rate of 160 hertz.
Exciting for gamers: The response time is only one millisecond in the fastest mode. The IPS panel has 1,152 light zones with over 2,000 mini-LEDs and thus achieves the DisplayHDR-1000 standard, which means a brightness of up to 1,000 nits.
This enables a dynamic contrast of 1,000,000:1, while the image aims to score with particularly rich colors and deep blacks, almost approaching an OLED panel.
However, the RedMagic 4K gaming monitor is also suitable for creative workers and covers the DCI-P3, Adobe RGB and sRGB color space to 99 percent each. The color accuracy also turns out impressive with Delta E <1.
Gaming Modes and Connections
In addition, the RedMagic 4K gaming monitor has various gaming and picture modes that are supposed to optimize the picture for shooters, MOBA titles or for movies, for example. Optionally, a crosshair, an FPS display or even a timer can also be faded in. NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync are of course also included.
In contrast to speakers, because the manufacturer RedMagic has not installed them. However, there are many up-to-date ports, such as two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C with 90-watt fast charging, image and data transfer, as well as two USB-A 3.0 ports and one USB-B port. Headphones can be connected via 3.5 mm jack.
The monitor can be adjusted in height, rotated, tilted and also has a pivot function to move the display vertically. Wall mounting is also possible without any problems thanks to the VESA 75×75 hole. On the back, the RedMagic 4K gaming monitor also features a triangle complete with RGB lighting that can shine in different colors.

Price and Availability
The RedMagic 4K gaming monitor should also be available in Germany no later than April 06, 2023. Pre-orders start from 03 April on the homepage of the manufacturer. The price will be $869, which will probably be converted into Euros on a one-to-one basis.
