Razer releases Seiren V2 Pro & Seiren V2 X microphones for streamers and beginners

Peripheral manufacturer Razer has introduced two new microphones, the Seiren V2 Pro and Seiren V2 X, aimed at streamers and beginners. They rely on premium features of dynamic microphones and condenser microphones for lifelike, natural recording quality.

Razer Seiren V2 Pro: Premium microphone with focus on audio quality

The new Razer Seiren V2 Pro is aimed at streamers, podcasters or other users who value the highest possible audio quality. The high-pass filter and analog gain limiter serve to ensure that the microphone only picks up what it should. In this way, background noise and accidental sounds are filtered out.

The dynamic capsule microphone offers a frequency response of up to 20,000 Hz and transmits your own voice in up to 24-bit quality. It is also equipped with a 3.5 mm jack connector to which headphones or a headset can be connected as a mic monitor. The maximum sampling rate is 96 kHz.

Razer Seiren V2 X: 25mm condenser microphone for beginners

The more affordable Seiren V2 X is a condenser capsule microphone. The supercardioid polar pattern allows the microphone to isolate the streamer’s voice from background noise. An analog gain limiter to prevent voice distortion is also built in.

Like the V2 Pro, the V2 X also features a gain knob and a mute button, as well as a jack connector for connecting headphones and headsets. The V2 Pro, however, offers an additional knob for fine-tuning the volume. It also shares the bit rate (24 bits) and sampling rate (96 kHz) with its big brother, but the dimensions of the 25 mm condenser microphone turn out to be much smaller.

Both microphones connect to a PC or notebook using the included USB Type A to Type C cable and come with a desktop stand.
