The Realme C33 in detail
What’s new about the Realme C33 is the design, which stands out. The manufacturer relies on a so-called Boundless Sea design that is only 8.3 mm thin and combines a visual experience with a pleasant feel.
2D composites of PC and PMMA with high light transmission, cause a translucent, glittering light effect. However, the material is also said to be particularly robust. Covered with a shimmering sand composite structure, the C33 creates a flowing effect that glitters in different colors depending on the incidence of light. The smartphone is offered in the colors Sandy Gold and Night Sea.
Under the hood is a Unisoc T612 octa-core chipset with clock speeds of up to 1.8 GHz along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of system memory, which can be expanded via microSD card, however. “With its powerful octa-core architecture, the Unisoc T612 achieves an AnTuTu benchmark score of 221,253. With this new chipset, the realme C33 supports high-end gaming and a compelling entertainment experience,” promises the manufacturer. Also on offer is a 6.5-inch display that resolves in 720p+ and offers a refresh rate of 60 hertz.
50-megapixel camera and strong battery
In terms of the camera, the Realme C33 relies on a 50 MP camera with clever software features. Thanks to CHDR, it should be possible to capture clear details in photos, while backlight optimization and overexposure areas ensure a vivid image.
In addition, there are other photo modes like beauty mode, various filters, HDR, panorama view, portrait shots, time-lapse, expert mode, super night and more. The smartphone records videos in 1080p with 30 frames per second.
The selfie camera sits in a centrally placed waterdrop punch hole and offers a resolution of 5 megapixels. It also offers a beauty mode, filters, HDR and much more. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the side.
The battery is also impressive. It has a capacity of 5,000 mAh (4,890 mAh effective) and can be charged with 10 watts via the included power adapter. Realme UI S based on Android 12 is used as the operating system.
The manufacturer underlines its ambitions in the entry-level segment with the third smartphone of the C-series. Realme is becoming more and more successful in the competitive smartphone market anyhow. Most recently, they introduced the GT Neo 3 and Neo 3T, complete with 150-watt charging speed, in June.
