Schenker Vision 15 (E23): Premium ultrabook with touchscreen and Intel Core i7-1260P

After the Vision 14 and the Vision 16 / Vision 16 Pro, Schenker now updates its next premium ultrabook. The new Schenker Vision 15 (E23) relies on Intel Alder Lake P processors, fast LPDDR5 RAM and modern Wi-Fi 6E.

Schenker Vision 15 (E23): Refresh with new Intel platform

Compared to the previous model with Intel Core i7-1165G7, the new Schenker Vision 15 (E23) comes with Intel Core i7-1260P, which means a significant jump in performance. In Cinbenech R20’s multi-core test, the new CPU alone should result in 4,148 points compared to 2,433 points in the predecessor.

Furthermore, the new model version E23 uses 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM with a clock rate of 5200 MHz instead of LPDDR4-4800 and supports the current Wi-Fi 6E standard in wireless networks. The graphics calculation is done internally via the installed Intel Xe graphics chip.

In terms of design, the new edition also relies on a case made of full aluminum in a unibody design, which wants to score with a high-quality build with uniform, precisely fitting gaps and seamless transitions.

The scratch-resistant, black anodized chassis measures 355 x 230 x 15 mm and weighs just 1.68 kg. The battery has a capacity of 73 watt hours, which should speak for a convincing runtime. Schenker promises up to 14:45 hours of runtime in the WLAN test at 150 cd/m² brightness and in the energy-saving profile.

IPS display with touchscreen

When it comes to the display, the new Schenker Vision 15 (E23) relies on a 15.6-inch IPS panel that resolves in Full HD and achieves a brightness of 450 cd/m². Since it is a touchscreen, the display is glossy. Furthermore, the display can be opened by 180 degrees and is supposed to be ideal for presentations and the like.

The manufacturer also promises that the premium ultrabook should work inconspicuously quiet even under full load – according to Schenker, this is made possible by the implementation of Intel’s reference platform.

“This is not only characterized by a customized cooling system, but is also based on a consistently implemented single-board design on the motherboard side without supplementary daughterboards connected via ribbon cables and with corresponding efficiency advantages, also in terms of controlling the power-saving functions of the external ports,” the manufacturer says.

In addition, the ultrabook offers you the possibility to choose between different performance profiles directly and without additional software and thus set up the Vision 15 ideally for either light or demanding tasks.

With this and in combination with the fast LPDDR5 RAM, the Vision 15 receives certification for the Intel EVO platform, for which notebooks have to meet strict requirements, after all.

Modern ports

Of course, the Schenker Vision 15 (E23) should not be without modern ports. Two Thunderbolt 4 slots with DisplayPort 1.4b function and an additional HDMI 2.0b output allow connecting up to three external monitors. The Thunderbolt ports on the left and right side of the case also support Power Delivery, so charging the laptop is possible on both sides.

Charging is done with the included USB Type-C power adapter, which has a charging power of 65 watts and is comparatively compact with dimensions of 66 mm x 66 mm x 28 mm. Two USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports and a 2-in-1 audio port for headphones or headsets round out the selection of ports.

The Windows Hello-compatible webcam offers smart functions for automatic user recognition, just like in the predecessor. This wakes up the laptop from standby mode or switches to the Windows lock screen when leaving the workplace. Privacy-sensitive users can disable the feature via Intel’s NUC Software Studio if desired. Four built-in microphones also find room in the case.

Price and availability

As always, the new Schenker Vision 15 (E23) premium ultrabook can be configured freely via bestware.com. In the basic configuration, the notebook has an Intel Core i7-1260P, 16 GB LPDDR5-5200 RAM (dual channel), a 500 GB Samsung 980 SSD and a Full HD IPS display with touch function and has a recommended retail price of 999 euros including VAT.

The delivery is then expected to start in mid-January 2023. The manufacturer also offers a full 36-month warranty on Schenker notebooks that are purchased via bestware.com.
