TC100 RELAXED: Corsair presents new gaming chair

Corsair has introduced the TC100 RELAXED gaming chair, the first representative of the new RELAXED series. It is supposed to be particularly comfortable and features a wide seating area and numerous ergonomic functions.

TC100 RELAXED: More surface area and comfort

As the avant-garde of the RELAXED range, the TC100 RELAXED is said to break with the precept of cutting edge. Specifically, this means that it should not primarily look futuristic and race-optimized, but be maximally comfortable. Probably the most significant change compared to classic gaming chairs is the wider seat of 375 mm. This is supposed to make the seat more comfortable. This will not only benefit obese people, who often have to squeeze into tight gaming chairs, but also slimmer figures, who will have more freedom of movement. However, the reference to the enormous seat width is possibly a mere marketing trick: The seat of the TC200 from Corsair, which is not advertised in this sense, is 20 mm wider.

The comfort is furthermore supposed to be increased by a strong padding, which is supposed to support the body in all movements. This ensures stability even during heated gaming phases. Meanwhile, the decidedly ergonomic features include a removable high-density foam lumbar pillow and a memory foam neck pillow. These two cushions support key areas of the body while sitting to prevent strain and resulting problems.

In addition, the TC100 RELAXED aims to score points with customizability. This, too, is all about gentle postures. For example, the chair offers a variable seat height range of 100 mm thanks to a gas pressure spring made of Class 4 steel. Meanwhile, the backrest can be adjusted within a range of 90 to 150 degrees, allowing for relaxed reclining. Less commonplace is the ability to adjust the gaming chair’s armrests in four directions.

The TC100 RELAXED is offered in two different variants, which do not differ in technical features, but only in the cover material. Once Corsair relied on soft fabric and once on a synthetic material, which should also be soft and visually reminiscent of leather.

Available now, the new TC100 RELAXED gaming chair is available both online and in brick-and-mortar stores. The recommended retail price is 219 euros.
