The Thermaltake S100 Micro-ATX case extends the S-Series

Thermaltake has introduced the S100, a new micro ATX package for its S-Series. The design is based on many elements of the S-Series, but uses air inlets similar to those of the premium case A500. Otherwise, however, it is the 30 percent smaller brother of the S300 and thus has a volume of 40 litres.

The Thermaltake S100 has a restrained design. The front is made of metal and has rounded edges. The manufacturer also does without RGB lighting. Only an unlit, black 120 millimetre fan is pre-installed in the rear, which rotates at 1,000 revolutions per minute. Nevertheless, Thermaltake uses a glass side panel that can be opened by a hinge joint.

Two 120 or 140 millimetre fans can be mounted in the front and two in the lid. Alternatively, a 200 millimetre fan can be placed in the lid. Radiators are also possible with up to 240/280 millimetres.

The interior is classically designed. Under the power supply cover there is space for the HDD cage next to the power supply. If it remains mounted, the power supply can be up to 160 millimeters long. Two 2.5/3.5 inch drives can be installed in the HDD cage. Another two 2.5-inch HDDs/SSDs can be placed behind the mainboard.

CPU coolers are limited in height to 165 millimeters, which means there are only a few models that don’t fit. There is no relevant limit for the graphics card.

Information about price and availability is not yet known, but considering the price of the other S-series cases, a price of 60 to 70 Euros would be reasonable.
