TP-Link Tapo D230S1: New smart video doorbell

TP-Link, a world-renowned provider of networking products and smart home solutions, recently announced the launch of the Tapo D230S1. This smart video doorbell is the latest addition to the company’s growing home surveillance portfolio.

High-resolution camera and extended field of view

The Tapo D230S1 is equipped with a 5MP camera with high 2K resolution, which makes it possible to see all the details even in low-light conditions. A built-in spotlight ensures that the Tapo D230S1 delivers high-quality video images even at night. In addition, the Tapo D230S1 offers a wider-than-average field of view of 160 degrees diagonally, allowing users to view visitors from head to toe, even from as close as three feet away.

Weatherproof and secure

The Tapo D230S1 is also equipped with a weatherproof housing that protects it from the elements. It has an IP64 certification that confirms its resistance to water and dust. In addition, the Tapo D230S1 is equipped with an anti-theft alarm function that triggers an alarm if someone tries to remove the doorbell.

Intelligent functions and ease of use

One of the standout features of the Tapo D230S1 is its AI-powered motion detection, which reduces false alarms and provides accurate notification. It also has a two-way audio feature that allows users to communicate with visitors without having to open the door. In addition, multiple Tapo D230S1 doorbells can operate from a single hub, making it an ideal solution for larger homes or buildings with multiple entrances.

Memory options and battery life

The Tapo D230S1 offers several storage options, including cloud storage and local storage on a MicroSD card. It has a built-in rechargeable battery that provides long operating time of up to 180 days, giving users the flexibility to install the doorbell where it is needed most without worrying about power.

Availability and Price

The Tapo D230S1 is available now as a set consisting of a video doorbell and a hub. The set is priced at 129 euros. It can be ordered from the official Tapo store and will also be available from Amazon in the coming weeks.
