Acer has unveiled the Predator GD711 and Predator GM712, two new gaming projectors that rely on 4K resolution and interesting features.
Acer Predator GD711
The new Predator GD711 LED projector comes with a sharp 4K resolution and smart features. It’s compatible with all the latest consoles as well as PCs, and has an integrated app market that offers numerous streaming services, for example.
The projector covers 125 percent of the Recf709 color space and offers gamers impressive color saturation. 4,000 LED lumens, high dynamic contrast, and HDR10 support are on the books. With a whisper-quiet operating volume of just 23 decibels in EcoMode, the device blends into the home theater setup without being distracting.
In this regard, the GD711 has a projection ratio of 1:22 and supports numerous different projection sizes. In addition, there are various usage modes to choose from, which can be switched between quickly and easily. In standard mode, movies in 4K are displayed crisply and in the highest quality. Two different game modes, one for bright scenes and the other for darker sequences, give gamers the option to adjust the image accordingly to the gameplay at hand.
VRR and long life
The Predator GD711 projects content at a VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) of 1080p@240Hz via HDMI 2.0 for exceptionally smooth playback, even in scenes with rapid frame changes. The integrated 10-watt speakers provide the right sound.
Thanks to the efficient air circulation inside, the Predator GD711 has a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours. Two HDMI 2.0 ports for monitors and consoles, an audio output for external speakers and three USB Type-A ports for peripherals make the little powerhouse a true all-rounder. A remote control is also included, whose surface and buttons are covered with an antimicrobial coating.
The Acer Predator GM712, a lamp-based counterpart of the project, is also available as an option. It, too, relies on a 4K resolution and comes with a brightness of 3,600 ANSI lumens.
Price and Availability
The Acer Predator GD711 projector is expected to be released in Q1 2022, with the manufacturer’s MSRP at $1,499. The Predator GM712 projector will also launch at the same time, priced at 1,399 euros.
