BenQ MOBIUZ EX480UZ, EX270M and EX270QM gaming monitors introduced

The BenQ Mobiuz EX270M is a new gaming monitor that combines Full HD resolution with a refresh rate of 240 Hz and supports HDR. Joining them are the EX270QM and the particularly exciting BenQ MOBIUZ EX480UZ, which marks the manufacturer’s first gaming monitor with an OLED panel.

The BenQ Mobiuz EX270M in detail

The BenQ Mobiuz EX270M is a 27-inch IPS gaming monitor that resolves in Full HD at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and offers a refresh rate of 240 Hz. It gets a maximum brightness of 400 cd/m² and boasts a GtG response time of 1 ms.

It supports HDR and FreeSync Premium and is supposed to cover 99% of the sRGB color space. A 2.1 sound system is also offered, while the monitor can be rotated, tilted, and adjusted in height. In terms of connections, the EX270M offers two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, a headphone output, two USB-A 3.0 ports and one USB-B 3.0 port.

BenQ Mobiuz EX270QM: The same in QHD?

The BenQ Mobiuz EX270QM is positioned quite similarly. It, too, relies on a 27-inch IPS display with a refresh rate of 240 Hz, but resolves much higher in WQHD with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels.

It also gets much brighter with 600 cd/m² and has a VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. Add to that FreeSync Premium Pro, a 1 ms response time (gray to gray), and a DCI-P3 color space coverage of 98 percent.

There’s a 2.1 sound system here, too. The two HDMI ports rely on the fast 2.1 standard, while otherwise one time DisplayPort 1.4, a headphone out, as well as two USB-A 3.0 and one USB-B 3.0 port are offered.

BenQ Mobiuz EX480UZ: OLED panel at 48 inches

The third gamescom novelty in the bunch is also the most exciting. Thus, the BenQ MOBIUZ EX480UZ marks the first OLED gaming monitor from the manufacturer, which comes to a huge screen diagonal of 48 inches and resolves in 4K UHD with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels.

A refresh rate of 120 Hz is offered, which is also available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X thanks to HDMI 2.1. In addition, there is an ultra-fast response time of 0.1 ms, True 10-bit color and True Black HDR 400.

The model features FreeSync Premium and BenQ’s HDRi technology, as well as a KVM switch, scenario mapping with remote control, light tuner and treVolo speakers. Here, the 2.1 sound system relies on a 10-watt subwoofer.

In terms of connections, there are two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3.2 hub, a headphone out, and USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate mode and 90 watts of power available.

Prices and Availability

All three BenQ Mobiuz gaming monitors are scheduled to launch in September 2022 or October 2022. The BenQ Mobiuz EX270M has an MSRP of $399, while the BenQ Mobiuz EX270QM has a recommended retail price of $799. The top OLED model BenQ Mobiuz EX480UZ comes in at 1,999 euros.
