Corsair K60 PRO TKL with OPX optical switches introduced

With the Corsair K60 PRO TKL, a new, high-quality gaming keyboard awaits you, which is supposed to stand out especially due to the new optical OPX switches. It combines the advantages of the K60 PRO with a more compact design and new optical-mechanical switches, which are also used in the K70 PRO OPX.

Corsair K60 PRO TKL in detail

The new Corsair K60 PRO TKL relies on opto-mechanical switches, such as those found in the ROCCAT Vulcan TKL Pro (our review). The specially developed OPX key switches are characterized by a small actuation distance of only 1.0 mm, which enables a fast, linear response.

They implement inputs particularly quickly and precisely, and also have a particularly long service life. The manufacturer guarantees 150 million actuations for each switch. They are housed in a robust aluminum frame, while the keyboard is optionally available in black or white.

Thanks to the Tenkeyless design, the K60 PRO TKL naturally offers even more space on the desk and comes up with additional premium features. These include a detachable USB Type-C cable and a polling rate of a whopping 8,000 Hz.

The rugged and durable polycarbonate keycaps also allow for a convincing display of RGB lighting on all keys, while handy keyboard shortcuts provide control over media, volume, and onboard functions. Lighting, macros, and more can of course be customized via the Corsair iCUE software.

The new OPX key switches are also making their way into the Corsair K70 RGB PRO as of now, which took home the Platinum Award during our February 2022 review. In addition to three different mechanical Cherry MX switches, the full-size keyboard is now also available with optical-mechanical switches.

With the AXON Hyper-Processing technology, which transmits keystrokes up to 8 times faster than conventional gaming keyboards, a special tournament switch and other features, this model is of course well equipped for the highest demands and also comes in black and white color scheme.

Also new is the Corsair K70 PRO MINI WIRELESS 60%, which is now also available in a white color variant. It’s extensively customizable and kept especially compact, giving you more desk space.

We also gave this model the coveted Platinum Award in our review about two months ago. At the time, we particularly liked the fact that the manufacturer offers almost the full range of functions of a large keyboard in a compact case thanks to alternative mappings.

Prices and availability

Corsair’s new gaming keyboards are available now from all authorized distributors and resellers worldwide. The Corsair K60 PRO TKL with OPX switches is priced at an MSRP of 149.99 euros, while the Corsair K70 Pro OPX and Corsair K70 PRO MINI WIRELESS are expected to be similar to those of the previous models, which are offered at an MSRP of 199.99 euros.
