Mission LX CONNECT: Wireless speaker with legendary LX sound unveiled

Mission has introduced a new all-in-one wireless speaker system. The LX Connect features a DAC that provides sound to the two speakers. The connection to the active speakers, which are based on the award-winning LX-2 MKII, is via an uncompressed 5.8 gigahertz wireless link. The complete system is also very well positioned in terms of connectivity.

Award-winning LX series finally with wireless model

With the LX CONNECT, Mission is finally expanding its award-winning LX Series with a wireless active model. With its uncompressed 5.8 gigahertz transmission, the transmitter module included in the scope of delivery ensures a sound image that was previously only possible with wired speakers.

For audio playback, a revised version of the LX-2 MKII speakers is used. They feature a newly developed bracing system within the cabinet to provide the same incorruptible sound characteristics with integrated radio and amplifier electronics.

The LX CONNECT HUB serves as the base station, controlling the speakers via an uncompressed 5.8 gigahertz connection and thus ensuring a transmission that is in no way inferior to a high-quality cable. LX CONNECT HUB connects fully automatically to the two LX CONNECT speakers at the touch of a button, transmitting even the finest details of the music signal – without any cable connection and over distances of up to twenty meters.

Ready for use immediately

With two active speakers and an LX CONNECT HUB feed unit, LX CONNECT is ready to use right out of the box. At the same time, the hub offers all the inputs you need from a modern playback device. The USB input with its ESS Sabre32 ES9018K2M reference DAC supports resolutions of up to 384 kHz and 32 bits as well as DSD256, ensuring top-class audiophile sound enjoyment.

In addition, digital audio signals can be fed via optical and coaxial interfaces that support up to 192 kHz / 24 bit. The HDMI ARC input ensures seamless integration of the LX CONNECT system into movie or gaming environments and the integrated Bluetooth receiver with Qualcomm aptX support ensures reliable operation with tablets or smartphones. On top of that, there is an analog input in RCA format. On the front, there is a headphone jack including an integrated headphone amplifier.

The Mission LX CONNECT speakers also feature all the groundbreaking technologies such as Inverted Driver Geometry, high-precision crossovers and DiaDrive bass drivers that have already made the manufacturer’s previous transducers world-famous. In the wireless version, these are complemented by high-quality active electronics. In each individual loudspeaker, two specially developed, powerful Class D power amplifier modules with 50 watts each provide adequate drive for the individual chassis.

Price and availability

The new Mission LX CONNECT wireless speaker system is available now from select retailers. The manufacturer’s RRP is 1298.00 euros.
