Motorola has given us some exciting smartphones in the past weeks and months, including the current flagship Edge 30 Pro. Now they are apparently planning a new edition of the foldable Razr. According to a leak, the Motorola Razr 2022 will start at 1,150 euros and could be unveiled as early as July.
Motorola Razr 2022 leak on new foldable
The Motorola Razr 2022 or Razr 3 could launch in Europe from 1,150 euros. This is reported by the CompareDial website in collaboration with the well-known leaker OnLeaks. Sources to the data one does not call however. The price is significantly lower than the RRP of the predecessor, the Razr 5G, which was launched for 1,399 Euros.
The new foldable smartphone will also only be available in one color, Quartz Black. According to rumors, the Motorola Razr 2022 will feature a 6.7-inch foldable screen, which would be significantly more than the 6.2 inches of the predecessor. The size of the external screen also increases from 2.7 to 3 inches.
The SoC is said to be Qualcomm’s already new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. There is also talk of 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. The Razr 5G could not prevail against the competitor Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 due to the high price and the poor camera, among other things. According to CompareDial, the latter’s successor will be offered for 999 Euros, which would make the Motorola Razr 2022 more expensive again.
Motorola Razr 3 already from July?
Furthermore, the leak states that the Motorola Razr 3 should be released as early as July 2022, first in China and shortly thereafter in Europe and other global markets. If this is true, July would become an exciting month for smartphones.
After all, we can expect a new mid-range model in the form of the Google Pixel 6a, while the nothing Phone 1 and the camera flagship Vivo X80 Pro are also expected to be released in the coming month. Whether and to what extent the Motorola Razr 2022 can then keep up with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, which will probably be unveiled in August or September, remains to be seen.
