Nanoleaf, a well-known smart lighting manufacturer, recently announced the upcoming launch of Nanoleaf 4D. The Nanoleaf 4D Screen Mirror and Lightstrip Kit allows users to synchronize their lighting with their TV or monitor’s picture playback, similar to Ambilight and Philips Hue entertainment.
Technical details and features
Unlike other systems that directly intercept the image signal to tune the lighting, Nanoleaf 4D uses a small camera. This camera, positioned either at the top or bottom of the screen, films the screen. This concept is already familiar from other manufacturers such as Govee.
Nanoleaf promises easy calibration in just two steps and quick setup thanks to Smart Remap technology. Once set up, four different Screen Mirror modes (1D to 4D) are available, as well as advanced mirroring features designed to enhance the visual experience for TV watching, gaming and more.
Sync+ technology can control more than 50 Nanoleaf RGB lighting devices, allowing the TV image to be color-extended to light panels, light strips, and light bulbs. In addition to app and Alexa control, Nanoleaf 4D Screen Mirror is also compatible with IFTTT and Razer Chroma.
Availability and Pricing
The new Nanoleaf 4D is offered in combination with a light strip. The manufacturer offers two bundles consisting of the camera and light strips of different lengths. The 65-inch version costs just under 100 euros, while the 85-inch variant is around 130 euros. The Nanoleaf 4D Screen Mirror camera alone costs 80 euros. The sales launch is scheduled for June 27, 2023 directly from the manufacturer.
