Manufacturer OnePlus wants to reposition itself in the coming year and launches only one flagship (killer) smartphone with the OnePlus 11, which is to be presented to the public on February 07, 2023. According to an extensive OnePlus 11 leak, we now already know what hardware is in the smartphone and what is included.
OnePlus 11 leak reveals technical details and scope of delivery
As part of the “Cloud 11 – A OnePlus Launch Event”, OnePlus will unveil its new smartphone and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 in New Delhi on February 07, 2023, we’ve already known for about two weeks.
Now, a new OnePlus 11 leak comes along that reveals a lot of details about the manufacturer’s upcoming top model even before the launch. Once again, it comes from Evan Blass, a leaker who is usually considered very reliable.
Via Twitter, Blass reveals the smartphone’s technical specifications and shows the scope of delivery. Accordingly, the OnePlus 11 is supposed to rely on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which is expected to power a majority of flagship smartphones in the coming year. The manufacturer is also said to install 16 gigabytes of fast LPDDR5X working memory and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 system storage.
The entry-level model, on the other hand, is expected to start with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of system storage. According to Blass, the device relies on a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 hertz and a resolution of 3,216 x 1,440 pixels. Of course, things get interesting with the camera setup, where OnePlus has once again collaborated with Hasselblad.
OnePlus 11: The cameras
According to the leak, a triple camera is used on the back. As the main camera, the smartphone uses a 50-megapixel main camera based on Sony’s IMX890 sensor, which is said to not quite offer the sensor size of the 1-inch IMX989 sensor, according to the OnePlus 11 leak.
The main camera is supplemented by an ultra-wide-angle lens with a resolution of 48 megapixels, as well as a 32 MP telephoto zoom camera – but probably without a real optical zoom, which LG Innotek wants to introduce with an innovative camera module at CES 2023.
According to the leak, the selfie camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels. As is typical for OnePlus, a silicone case for the smartphone is once again included, as well as apparently a bulky power adapter, but its specifications are not mentioned.
As a pioneer in the field of fast charging, the OnePlus 11 should once again be able to be charged very quickly. The smartphone’s battery is supposed to have a capacity of 5,000 mAh and can be charged with 100 watts. The smartphone weighs 205 grams and comes with ColorOS 13.0.
On the other hand, a downgrade apparently awaits us in terms of water resistance, as according to the OnePlus 11 leak, the device will only have an IP54 certification, as opposed to the IP68 water resistance in the OnePlus 10 Pro.
OnePlus 11 with new Bionic engine
Another leak from Sparrow News shows in the form of a video the OnePlus 11’s new Bionic Motor, which is said to be responsible for the smartphone’s vibration. It was developed together with AAC Technology and is supposed to be superior to the vibration motors of other manufacturers.
The leak also mentions a new “Picture Quality Engine”, which is supposed to improve the performance of mobile games with a new algorithm and reduce the power consumption during gaming at the same time. We will find out how the whole thing looks in practice and what the OnePlus 11 will ultimately cost at the reveal on February 7, 2023.
