Samsung will officially unveil the new Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones as early as February 01 as part of the Galaxy Unpacked 2023. A lot of additional information has already been leaked in advance, including the official prices, additional details and comparison tables of the three models.
Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra: New details
Much is already known about the new Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones, which the manufacturer from Korea will officially unveil on February 01. However, shortly before the launch, new leaks provide additional details of the devices, which – as we know – will rely on a customized version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips from Qualcomm.
A leaked press image in connection with the racing game Wreckfest officially speaks of a “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy” for the first time, which finally confirms the slightly overclocked SoC in the Samsung smartphones.

Official pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra
From WinFuture editor Roland Quandt we reach the “official German retail prices” of the three new Galaxy smartphones. According to this, the S23, S23+ and 23 Ultra will each be offered in two different variants in German stores, which differ in terms of the system memory.
Still unconfirmed is an additional version of the S23 Ultra with 1 TB of internal storage that costs around 1,800 Euros, but will presumably be offered exclusively in Samsung’s online store. All other models rely on 8 GB working memory and 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB system memory. According to Quandt, the price starts at 949 Euros – the official German prices look like this:
- Samsung Galaxy S23 8/128 GB 949 euro
- Samsung Galaxy S23 8/256 GB 1009 euros
- Samsung Galaxy S23+ 8/256 GB 1,199 euros
- Samsung Galaxy S23+ 8/512 GB 1,319 euros
- Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 8/256 GB 1,399 euros
- Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 12/512 GB 1,579 euros
Pre-order promotion and trade-in deals
That there should again be a pre-order promotion and strong trade-in deals for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra for the trade-in of old devices is also considered as good as certain.
Samsung apparently already sends e-mails to pre-registered buyers that inform them about the pre-order promotion. Accordingly, the in-ear headphones Galaxy Buds2 Pro with a value of about 200 Euros are free of charge when buying one of the new Galaxy smartphones until February 4, 2023.
After the end of the period, there would be, according to the screenshot, an “accessory product of your choice from the category Mobile” worth up to 100 euros for free on top. For trade-in deals, Quandt via Twitter talks about a trade-in value of between 100 euros and 750 euros for an old Samsung smartphone, depending on the model.
Comparison table shows differences of Galaxy smartphones
Also interesting is the official comparison table, which shows the differences between the three models Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
This shows once again, for example, that in addition to the three different display sizes, there is now a uniform peak brightness of 1,750 nits and that all three models will rely on a 120 Hz display.
Besides more promo images, most of the details about the new Samsung smartphones are now known in advance. Let’s be surprised whether and if so, which surprises the manufacturer will pull out of the hat for the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event tomorrow. The Galaxy Unpacked February 2023 will take place on February 1 at 7:00 p.m. German time and will be broadcast live on samsung.com.
