The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3, a new edition of one of the most popular and best true wireless headphones, which just missed out on the Platinum Award in our review about two years ago, is supposed to be available in April 2022. The new model has now been leaked in an online store, shortly before the public launch. We have summarized all the info.
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 leak reveals all the details
The official presentation is just around the corner, but the Lufthansa World Shop has now revealed all the information of the noble headphones in advance in an extensive Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 Leak.
The most noticeable change can be found in the design of the high-end TWS in-ears, which approximates the in-house CX Plus (our review). In addition, the USB-C port of the charging unit has now been moved to the front. The third generation is apparently offered in black, white and graphite, including a matching charging case, which again comes with a fabric cover, at least in the case of the graphite-colored model.
However, there have also been some changes from a technical perspective. For example, the Momentum True Wireless 3 are now supposed to transmit wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.2, while their predecessors still used version 5.1. This should ensure a longer range and more stable connection in practice.
aptX Adaptive, improved ANC, 28 hours of battery life
In terms of battery life, nothing has changed compared to the predecessor, according to the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 leak. Thus, the new model is also supposed to last for around 28 hours. It can be charged via USB-C or wirelessly.
A new feature is the support of Qualcomm’s Bluetooth audio codec aptX Adaptive, which adapts to the environment and the quality of the source material. Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC), which automatically adjusts the strength of the active noise cancellation to the ambient noise, is also part of the package. Four microphones are used for this and of course there will also be a transparency mode.
The operation is done with the help of the touch-sensitive outer sides via touch control panels and voice control is also possible. Once again, the “Sennheiser TrueResponse transducer system” is used for the sound, with which the drivers cover a comparatively huge frequency range of 5 Hz to 21,000 Hz. Thus, the drivers should be on the same level as those of the predecessor model.
The technical specifications of the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 read as follows, according to World Shop:.
