Scope of delivery

Let’s start with the scope of delivery. Here it should first be said that the Floor One S7 Pro comes in a pleasingly compact package. Once opened, it reveals a presentable scope of delivery.

Tineco Floor One S7 Pro review

In addition to the Tineco Floor One S7 Pro itself, we find the station for charging and cleaning, the corresponding power supply, matching holders, a bottle of the in-house cleaning agent, a replacement brush, a replacement filter, and a handy cleaning tool.

Tineco Floor One S7 Pro review: understated design

  • Color combination of black and white
  • High build quality
  • Ergonomic design
  • Bulky body prevents cleaning under flat furniture

Like the manufacturer’s other squeegees, the Floor One S7 Pro does not come in a flashy design. Tineco relies here primarily on the color black. Thanks to small accents in dark gray and noble white, the squeegee looks quite pretty. This ensures that you can easily place the household appliance on a wall in the living room without it being unpleasantly conspicuous. Once the handle is inserted into the casing, we turn the device on to take a look at the display. This turns out to be one of the big improvements compared to the Floor One S5 (test). Finally, Tineco relies on a significant enlargement here. Thanks to the position and size of the screen, the user always keeps everything in view.

Otherwise, it can be said that connoisseurs of the manufacturer’s other squeegees will immediately find their way around here. Thus, the household appliance can be divided into three different areas. At the very bottom is the suction or wiping unit. A moistened brush roller rotates here to pass the wiped dirt on to the suction unit. In the center of the suction wiper are the dirt and fresh water tanks. While the fresh water tank always supplies the brush with clean wiping water, the dirty water sucked up from the floor ends up in the dirty water tank. On top, in turn, is the handle with the help of which the suction mop can be maneuvered and controlled.

Tineco Floor One S7 Pro test: high quality workmanship

The build quality and choice of materials is also at a usual high level. Here I feel reminded of other Tineco models such as the Floor One S3 (test), Pure One S15 Pro (test) or also the Carpet One (test). Thus, the manufacturer relies on high-quality plastic here, which does not offer much surface for ugly finger pops thanks to its matte color scheme. It does not crack or creak at any point, even when the user tries harder.

A touch of glamour is then provided by finishing touches such as the glossy company logo on the device itself. What is noticeable at first glance is that the squeegee is not a flat device. It is therefore difficult to get under furniture with a small distance to the floor with the S7 Pro. If that’s important to you, you should take a look at the OSOTEK Horizon H200 (test).

Tineco Floor One S7 Pro review: ergonomic design

As squeegees go, the Tineco Floor One S7 Pro doesn’t score as a lightweight by any means. Thus, the device weighs 4.5 kg ex works. The weight increases even more when the water tanks are filled. However, you only really notice the rather high weight when you carry the device from A to B. The weight of the device is not noticeable during use. During use, it feels light as a feather. This is not only due to the smooth-running roller, with the help of which the squeegee can be moved across the floor. The optimal center of gravity, which is very close to the floor, also enhances this positive effect.

Ergonomics is not only provided by the shape of the handle. Its height in 111 cm should also be the perfect compromise for all users. Incidentally, the manufacturer has not only enlarged the display. The cleaning roller has also changed. Its width has grown by 2 cm. This means that the same area can be cleaned in less time than with the S5. Tineco once again delivers a great job in terms of both looks and build quality. However, it’s about time for a somewhat flatter model. Here you would have to accept losses in the volume of the water tanks, but surely many customers would gladly accept that.

Tineco Floor One S7 Pro Test: Large Display

  • 3.6-inch display
  • Animations and great colors
  • Important status information

When it comes to the display, Tineco doesn’t let itself down. This measures 3.6 inches and is thus larger than in all wipers that I have had the pleasure of examining so far. It not only offers vivid colors, but also scores with a great overview. The good display quality is especially apparent when setting up the device. Here, the S7 Pro scores with vivid short videos that facilitate the use. After the setup, you can always see the most important status information about the squeegee on the display.

This includes, for example, the suction level, but also the remaining battery of the device. As has become almost commonplace, the S7 Pro also has a dirt sensor. It registers dirty spots and makes them visible on the display. If the iLoop sensor registers that the dirt is gone, the corresponding color animation changes and you know that you can continue. The S7 Pro certainly sets new standards in the screen area. Whether you need it or not is up to you. What is certain is that the display is a real eye-catcher.

Tineco Floor One S7 Pro test: high ease of use

  • Operation via app and handle

First and foremost, a household appliance should be easy to use. The S7 Pro meets this criterion with flying colors. And this already begins with the setup of the suction wiper. The packaging includes a handy Quick Start Guide that explains how to set it up quickly and easily. Once you’ve installed the handle, you’re ready to go. Once you turn the device on for the first time, all you have to do is follow the instructions on the display. Here, short tutorial videos explain how to use the squeegee properly. However, it should be said in advance that there is really very little you can do wrong here.

In practice, the squeegee is characterized by high maneuverability. This is mainly due to the strong connection between the floor, cleaning roller and the two rubberized wheels. With motorized support, the rather heavy device can be easily pushed and pulled over parquet, tiles and the like. The S7 Pro recognizes which direction you are aiming at and supports you specifically. The factory setting’s support is sometimes a bit too strong. However, this was no longer a problem after adjusting the strength in the app, so the device offers individual support.

The practical lighting provides a better overview during cleaning.

With the help of the buttons on the handle, the squeegee can not only be switched on and off. On top of that, you can also set the suction level here as well as activate self-cleaning. The latter only works when the device is in the charging station. Like the other devices from Tineco, the Floor One S7 Pro also offers app support. For example, you can view the battery status and other status information about the smart household helper in it. But once again, you have to ask yourself why you actually need it. Of course, this should not be a negative factor. After all, having is known to be better than needing.

Tineco Floor One S7 Pro Test: Practical Test

  • Great cleaning performance
  • 40 minutes of battery life
  • Battery not replaceable

Time for the supreme discipline – cleaning. And here the Tineco Floor One S7 Pro fully meets the expectations I set high. But first things first. With the help of the suction wiper, I was able to tackle even dried ketchup stains without any problems. Depending on the severity of the stain, you have to wipe it several times. But that is completely normal. I mainly worked in auto mode. If you need more power, you can switch to the “Max”, “Ultra” or “Suction” modes. During use, the squeegee is pleasantly quiet with a volume of about 70 dB. Fortunately, Tineco directly includes a practical cleaning agent. This brings a fresh scent and should make cleaning even easier. Furthermore, the S7 Pro has a pleasantly long battery life. The manufacturer installs a battery with 3,900 mAh here, which should be able to last up to 40 minutes according to Tineco.

In my field test, I came up with a very similar time. Thus, the device brings more than enough endurance to be able to clean quite large apartments or houses. With my 82 m² apartment, I was at least through after just under 20 minutes. If the battery is empty, you charge it in the charging station provided. The squeegee then needs just under six hours for a complete charging process from 0 to 100 percent. A real drawback for me in view of the price is that the battery cannot be removed. If it is defective, the squeegee will have to be disposed of. Actually, Tineco has already proven in the past that they can do better. After all, the battery of the S15 Pro cordless vacuum cleaner could be conveniently replaced.

Tineco Floor One S7 Pro test: uncomplicated maintenance

Where moisture is involved, germ formation and bad odors also occur quickly. That’s why you should also definitely pay attention to regular cleaning with the squeegee. This is done quite quickly with the Floor One S7 Pro. After all, the smart household helper takes care of it independently, so to speak. If there is enough fresh water in the container, you place the squeegee in the base station and start the self-cleaning process via the corresponding button. The device then rinses the roller vigorously once again and sucks up the resulting dirty water on its own. Once the self-cleaning is done, it is best to empty out the dirty water to prevent bad odors. After cleaning, the S7 Pro dries the roller with hot air. Unfortunately, this did not ensure reliable drying in practice, as the process is simply too short.

Self-cleaning is only possible in the charging station

This is where the One S7 Pro missed a real opportunity. Suction robots with a suitable cleaning station show how it can be done better. Here, the Dreame L10S Ultra (test) is a real prime example. It should be said, though, that you shouldn’t rely on this feature alone. At least once a month, it is appropriate to rinse the roller by hand in the sink. This is where a lot of dirt gets collected. You should also clean other parts of the system at regular intervals. For example, the filter, which prevents solid particles from entering the wastewater tank. The tool included in the scope of delivery is a practical aid for cleaning. All in all, the squeegee scores with foolproof maintenance. However, you should not fully rely on self-cleaning.

Conclusion

For me, the test of the Tineco Floor One S7 Pro did not really provide a surprise. Why? This is mainly due to the very good experiences I have had so far with Tineco’s products in general and the vacuum wipers in particular. The smart household helper scores with a chic design and high-quality workmanship. Furthermore, it scores with a high ease of use and an uncomplicated setup. A real highlight, in my opinion, is the large display that provides a convenient overview of the vacuum’s status.

Cleaning power and battery performance also left me with a thoroughly positive impression. Unfortunately, I also have to complain a bit. On the one hand, there is the well-known clunky design. You simply can’t get under flat furniture with the squeegee. Furthermore, the S7 Pro does not offer the option of replacing the battery. That is anything but sustainable. Last but not least, the high price should be mentioned. However, those who are looking for a powerful combination of a cordless vacuum cleaner and a mop will certainly not regret this expense. After all, the household helper delivers the best cleaning result of all the suction mops I have tested so far.

93/100

The Tineco Floor One S7 Pro delivers the best cleaning performance of all the squeegees we have tested so far. If only there were not high price.
