Blaupunkt Enno: folding e-bike comes with wide tires and 80 km range

Manufacturer Blaupunkt expands its portfolio of foldable e-bikes. After they have already presented the Henri at the end of March, now follows the Blaupunkt Enno, where the manufacturer relies on extra wide “Fat” tires with a size of 20 inches. The rear motor is said to offer a new optimized drive, enabling a range of up to 80 kilometers.

Blaupunkt Enno in detail

The Blaupunkt Enno is the latest folding e-bike in the DotBlue brand’s growing catalog. It combines the advantages of a fat bike with extra wide tires with those of a compact foldable e-bike.

The most striking detail here is marked by the extra-wide tires, which – just like on the Henri – come in at a size of 20 inches. At 20 inches x 4.00, however, they turn out extra wide, which is supposed to provide additional riding comfort. Especially on rougher terrain.

The frame and rims of the gray-colored Enno are made of sturdy aluminum. The folding e-bike weighs 32 kg (including battery) and has a permissible total weight of 100 kg. The manufacturer relies on a Shengyi motor integrated into the rear wheel for pedal assistance.

It offers 250 watts of power and 55 Nm of torque. It is also maintenance-free and IPX5 water resistant against jet water. Other features include a 7-speed derailleur from Shimano, as well as mechanical disc brakes front and rear from Tektro.

The battery of the Enno

A 36 V / 13 Ah lithium-ion battery with integrated BMS (battery management system) and an RGB LED battery status display is used in the Blaupunkt Enno. The battery is integrated directly into the frame of the folding e-bike and can be removed.

With the help of the included charger, it should be fully charged in just under 7.5 hours. A maximum range of 80 km should be possible with the Enno, although this value is of course influenced by the load, the riding style and the area of use.

The motor offers 5-stage pedal assistance, which can also be deactivated if desired. There is also a push assist. Via the LC display with three buttons, backlight and IP65 certification, you can view important data while riding. Among them speed, battery status, power or lighting.

Thanks to front and rear LED lights, reflectors (also on the pedals), mudguards, kickstand and foldable pedals, the Blaupunkt Enno is approved for road use. In addition, the folding e-bike has front and rear luggage racks, which may be loaded with a maximum of 10 kg and 15 kg respectively.

When ready to ride, the e-bike measures 1,750 x 700 x 1,100 mm (length x width x height); when folded, it comes to 1,000 x 500 x 750 mm. Handlebars and saddle can be adjusted in height and thus adapted to the respective body.

Price and Availability

The Blaupunkt Enno folding e-bike is now available in stores and ships immediately. The manufacturer’s MSRP in its own store is 1,899 euros. Amazon also already lists the bike, but still calls up a price of 1,949 euros there.
