For those who have been using a dual-monitor setup, the Dell UltraSharp U4924DW offers an exciting alternative. With its 49-inch curved display, it realizes the same picture as if you were using two 27-inchers side by side.

It has a dual QHD resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels, a refresh rate and an excellent color space coverage. 100 percent of the sRGB and 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space are supposed to be covered, thus making the monitor suitable for creative work.

The Dell UltraSharp U4924DW relies on an IPS panel that achieves a contrast ratio of 2,000:1 thanks to IPS Black Panel Technology and boasts an excellent viewing angle stability of 178°/178°. However, the maximum brightness is rather average at 350 nits.

The monitor with curved display can also be tilted between -5 degrees and 21 degrees, rotated by 170 degrees, as well as adjusted in height by 120 mm.

Connectivity and features

The Dell UltraSharp U4924DW has a lot to offer in other ways as well. Among them, a KVM switch to use connected peripherals on two devices simultaneously, as well as Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes. The ComfortView Plus function is also supposed to reduce blue light and thus effectively relieve the eyes.

A whole host of connections is also offered. The U4924DW has a USB-C hub with two USB-C ports with a speed of 10 Gbit/s and a USB-A port with the same speed on the bottom left that can be extended. The ports point to the front and offer convenient connectivity.

There is also a USB-C port on the bottom that even allows DisplayPort 1.4 image output and charges other devices like notebooks with a speed of up to 90 watts thanks to Power Delivery.

There is also another USB-C 3.2 Gen2 port, four USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, an RJ45 LAN port (2.5 Gbit/s), one 3.5 mm jack, as well as two HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 1.4 ports. Two 9-watt speakers are also integrated into the Dell UltraSharp U4924DW.

The 49-inch curved monitor Dell UltraSharp U4924DW should already be available in stores. The manufacturer’s MSRP is $1,999.99. More details are provided by Dell’s official product website.
