When it comes to innovative displays, the manufacturer LG has been an absolute pioneer lately. With the DualUp, they recently showed a display in an unusual 16:18 format. Now follows with the LG Libero 27BQ70QC, a monitor that can be hung on the wall or stood up and has a detachable webcam.
LG Libero 27BQ70QC: The flexible office monitor in detail
In addition to three new UltraGear gaming monitors, the manufacturer has introduced the innovative LG Libero 27BQ70QC. The design of the 27-inch office or home office display is particularly striking.
This is because it can be flexibly set up, hung up and transported. This is made possible by the flexible stand of the display in fabric design, which allows you to place the monitor normally on the desk or another surface.
We last saw the Fabric design in a similar form in the chic designer smart TV LG OLED Evo ART90, whose market launch was officially confirmed just under two weeks ago.
However, it can also be rotated by 180 degrees and thus easily hung on the bracket-shaped stand. LG supplies the necessary brackets in the box. They allow hanging it on doors, partitions and room dividers, for example. In addition, the Libero monitor should also be easy to transport due to the bracket shape of the stand.
QHD resolution with high color space coverage
From a purely technical perspective, the LG Libero 27BQ70QC relies on a 27-inch IPS display with a QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. It covers 99% of the sRGB color space and also supports HDR10 for more intense contrasts.
The contrast ratio is at the panel-typical 1000:1, and the manufacturer specifies the brightness of the matte anti-glare display with LED backlight at a good 350 cd/m². In addition, there are other features like a special reading mode, a Black Stabilizer or an eye-friendly “Flicker Safe” technology.
The monitor can be connected via HDMI or USB Type-C. The latter includes a 65-watt power supply. The latter includes 65-watt PowerDelivery, which can be used to conveniently charge notebooks and other devices while displaying the picture.
Another highlight is the included detachable Full HD webcam, which can be connected to the top when the monitor is used either hanging or standing, and features a screen against unwanted recordings (privacy cover) and an integrated microphone for video conferencing.
According to the manufacturer, the Libero monitor consumes 40 watts of power during operation and is quite economical with 0.3 watts in standby mode.
