It has almost become a tradition that Aldi starts the new year with gaming PCs on offer. Already last year, they offered three devices from Medion at the beginning of the year, now they start the year 2023 with a strong offer for the Medion Erazer Engineer X20.
Medion Erazer Engineer X20: That’s what’s in the Aldi gaming PC
The Medion Erazer Engineer X20 is an old acquaintance. In November 2021, the manufacturer relaunched the gaming PC with RGB lighting and is offering it, in a slightly slimmed-down form, at a greatly reduced price from January 02, 2023 at Aldi Nord, Aldi Süd and in the online store.
Medion installs an Intel Core i7-12700 processor with 8 performance and 4 efficiency cores, as well as clock rates of 2.10 GHz to 4.90 GHz. In addition, there is a full 32 GB of DDR4 working memory from Kingston Fury with 3200 MHz, a 1 TB PCIe-SSD and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 LHR with 8 gigabytes of GDDR6 VRAM.
The RAM features RGB lighting, as does the case from InWin. The CPU is kept in check by a Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML120L water cooling system, while the manufacturer continues to promise an optimized cooling system.
The gaming PC at Aldi also relies on a well-known manufacturer for the motherboard (GIGABYTE B660M DS3H AX motherboard). Also offered are Wi-Fi 6 Gigabit WLAN with integrated Bluetooth function, a 2.5 Gbit/s network controller and an 8-channel HD audio sound.

Price and availability
The Medion Erazer Engineer X20 (MD34800) gaming PC will be available from January 02, 2023 at an offer price of 1,599.00 euros at Aldi Nord, Aldi Süd and in the Aldi online store. As always, the offer is only valid while stocks last.
Considering the components offered, the price seems absolutely fair. An alternative is the Acer Predator Orion 3000, which we recently tested ourselves. It has a very similar configuration, more modern connectivity and is considerably lighter, but is only equipped with 16 GB of RAM ex-factory and comes without water cooling.
