Listan: Parent company of be quiet! buys keyboard manufacturer Mountain

The Listan Group secures the fate of the renowned keyboard manufacturer Mountain. After be quiet! and Xilence, Mountain now marks the third pillar for the group. The peripheral brand is intended to effectively drive the Listan Group’s expansion into the field of high-quality input devices.

Listan acquires keyboard manufacturer Mountain

Keyboard manufacturer Mountain, although only founded in 2018, has already made a name for itself. The reason for this is the manufacturer’s high-quality and modular keyboards and peripherals such as the Mountain Everest Max (our review) or the no less high-quality keyboard add-ons DisplayPad and MacroPad (our review).

Within four years, Mountain was raking in numerous awards and accolades. The Makalu 67 lightweight gaming mouse, for example, was praised for its exceptional design and, like the Everest Max, won the iF Design Award 2021.

The development of high-quality peripherals will be pushed further. From now on, however, it will be under the umbrella of the Listan Group, which also includes be quiet! and Xilence. Mountain is the third wholly owned subsidiary of the group.

Both parties naturally hope for a lot from the deal. For Tobias Brinkmann, CEO of Mountain, headquartered in Freiburg, the deal has only advantages: “The joint focus on innovative, high-quality product design makes MOUNTAIN a perfect fit for Listan and I am convinced that our joint strategies will improve our strong market positioning and lead to more great products for our customers,” Brinkmann said.

We should probably see some of these new products as early as next year. Listan CEO Stanislav Minkin is also convinced that the Mountain acquisition will make big waves in gaming, streaming and content creation: “[…]On top of that, we have an impressive roadmap of new products which are yet to make a splash. With MOUNTAIN in our ranks, we can confidently target our next goals.”
